After sizzling in tellydom as the soft spoken Sadhana and the witty Mona, Sara Khan is all set to step into the dreamland of every actor, Bollywood. The actress is all set to make her debut in the Hindi film which will be based on music.

The movie is already on floors and will hit the screens next year. On the outset of the launch, the actress spoke to media about her silver screen debut.

Excerpts…

What is the reason for you to sign up for the film?
Everybody wants to grow in their life and even I do. Television has given me a lot of success in my life which I will never forget. It is this strong foundation that made me what I am today and I am ready to work day and night to make both work.

How do you think you'll manage both: television and film?
I am managing both and I believe that nothing is impossible in life.

There are several actors who are moving to Bollywood. Did you ever think about this when you started your career in television?
When I did Bidaai I never thought that it was coming from a person like Rajan Shahi. Bidaai is a household name even today. I compete and struggle with myself so why should I think of other things. If I have to succeed in Bollywood, I will, and if Bollywood success is not meant for me then how much ever big the banner I work with is, there would be no use.

How did you bag the role?
I was offered the role and when I read the script, I liked it. So I thought why not give it a shot. And also the music is something that makes me feel happy.

Television schedules are hectic, so how are you going to manage to be on both the sets?
Half day here and half day there.

Ekta Kapoor came for the Mahurat of the movie.
She is a gem of a person. I had informed her that I have signed a movie and I had also mentioned that I would be really obliged if she could make up for the function. And finally she came. She is very good friend of mine and she was really excited from the time I had told her that I had signed a movie.

Ekta is a good friend of yours and she is also known as the Queen of Television. Has she offered you anything earlier?
Ekta always wanted to cast me in her shows, but things somehow did not work out for us. Sometimes her show was on the verge of release or sometimes my show would be already on air. The day when everything works for us, we will work together.

Angad Hasija has joined you in the show. How is it working with him again?
I am really very excited. We used to have a lot of fun and fights both on-screen and off-screen. I am so happy to get him back in my show as a co-actor.

We've heard that Rajan Shahi played an important part in getting you this film and you did not even inform him about him being finalized?
I had contacted him, but he was busy. I tried to reach him, but he was busy with his shows for which he was out of town.

Did you take any advice from anybody before signing the movie?
No, because I do not take advice from anybody. Even when I did Bidaai, I just took my Nana's advice. But now he is no more, or else I would have taken his advice this time as well.

Are you enjoying life being single?
People have their experiences in life and likewise even I have had. I would just like to say that it is nice being single, and it is also nice if the relation has honesty and sincerity. I am not saying that I will not be in a relationship henceforth. If I find the right person I will surely think about it.

Mona Singh returns to fiction show

Mona Jaswir Singh is back to pavilion. Almost six years after featuring as Jassi in the hit show 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin', the actress is returning to fiction shows with 'Bas Itnii Si Baat', to be aired on Sony.

If one goes by the first look of the actress in the show, she seems to be playing a simple middle-class, sari-clad housewife and it is coming from Ekta Kapoor's stable.

The concept of the show has been kept under wraps so far, but it will go on air Jan 16, 2012.

Mona began her acting career as the bespectacled simple girl Jassi, and her real identity was revealed much later in the show, which also happened to be on Sony. Her glamourous avatar won her appreciation, and that set the ball rolling for her in showbiz.

Mona went on to participate in dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' in 2006, and ended up being the winner.

Her effervescence and charm gave her the chance to host the second and fourth seasons of the show, as well as anchor other shows like 'Entertainment ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega', 'Shaadi Teen Crore Ki' and recently 'Star Ya Rockstar'.

Mona was also seen in a role in '3 Idiots', alongside top actors like Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

But now, she is back to acting on the tube.

So, this is what Atif had to say, "I really have no idea about her success here and I have never met her personally. Long back, she had sent me a friend request on Facebook, but I did not add her. In fact I deleted my account after ten days itself because there were a lot of people who were intruding into my personal space."

Ronit Bose Roy, appreciated for his role as a strict father in 'Udaan', is now set to play police officer Raja Tambat in director Sanjay Gupta's 'Shootout At Wadala'. But he is most excited about sharing the frame with Anil Kapoor.

'Yes, I will play Raja Tambat in Sanjay Guptas film 'Shootout At Wadala'...Proud to co-star with Anil Kapoor, who I've idolised since many years for his dedication towards his craft. He plays Isaque Bagwan...,' Ronit posted on Twitter.

Anil has been a revered actor in tinsel town, but he became a bigger name after featuring in Danny Boyle's Oscar-winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire'. The success of the film helped him bag a role in American TV series '24', as well as a cameo in the recently released 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol'.

In 'Shootout At Wadala', a prequel to 2007 film 'Shootout At Lokhandwala', Anil plays a police officer. The film is based on the 1982 incident in which gangster Manya Surve was shot dead in Mumbai.

Ronit admits the script drew him to the project.

'Sanjay Gupta narrated the film to me. It blew my mind away. A film which has the potential to be India's answer to 'The Godfather'. All roles in the film - MINDBLOWING- John Abraham as Manya Surve role of a lifetime,' added Ronit, who became a big name on the small screen thanks to shows like 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay'.

As you are leaving now, what message would you like to give to the contestants? "I would say that believe in yourself and keep doing what you are doing now and always be yourself. There would be times when you will feel sad, when you will be hurt, but never mind as all these things are a part and parcel of the thing you are doing. Take a deep breath and say that you can do it and I know you can. Don't waste all your energy. There will be a special occasion when you will need all that energy. So save your energy for that special moment. You always have an extra power in yourself, so preserve that. Whatever may be the result, as there is going to be only one winner, don't stop even if you lose. I would like to come back and see their growth. And they are all winners in my eyes, "says Alex.

Talented singers from India and Pakistan will fight it out on a common platform -- a new reality show 'Sur-kshetra' -- where singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya will captain the Indian team and the Pakistan team will be led by hit singer Atif Aslam.

The jury and the host of the show are yet to be finalised, but it will be a mix of talent from both the countries, said a source from Sahara One TV channel, on which it will be aired early next year.

In India, the auditions will take place in six cities -- Lucknow, Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Ludhiana and Indore -- and at three cities in Pakistan -- Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

The selected singing talents from both nations will assemble at one place, where the show will be shot. There, they will undergo a further selection process.

Gajendra Singh, founder and managing director, Saaibaba Telefilms is producing the show. After promoting musical talent through the small screen thanks to shows like 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar', 'Amul Music ka Maha Muqqabla' and 'Amul Star Voice of India', he is upbeat about the new show.

'Music has always inspired me to explore new avenues. With 'Sur-kshetra', we aim to touch newer heights and create a new musical world. I thank Sahara One, and especially Boney Kapoor to have given me such a challenging opportunity and I am really excited about it,' Singh said in a press statement.

Boney Kapoor, director, Sahara One Media and Entertainment Ltd said: ''Sur-kshetra' is our mega reality music show. Priyanka shares about her thoughts on love to Simi

But before going on a sabbatical, this week the show will see its last celebrity in the vivacious Priyanka Chopra who will talk about love, life and her career choices. Her secure view on love is worth an ear. In a deep conversation with Simi, the actress spoke about how she feels unconditional love doesn't exist at all. "I've discovered over the years that nobody can give unconditional love. It's the toughest thing in the world. No expectations…you can't do it, it's not possible. But, to just give, even if it's unrequited, I'm not saying be a door mat - but that's how love should be," confessed Priyanka.

So, how difficult or easy it is to woo the lady? "I will be two ways, I will make life really difficult for you, if I like you. I have these walls and especially if I like somebody then I build them even more. The only way for him to be able to penetrate that wall would be to just sweep me off, take me by surprise, make me believe that you know he really wants it."

The host asked her if it's easy to fall in love with the co-stars, as they are always romancing each other and are insanely attractive. Priyanka replied, "It is great to be in a relationship while doing films. It's a big feeling because you know, the scenes have another meaning and it's cute and it's fun, but it's not necessary. I mean it will be the same thing if we don't get along with the co-actor."

Chopra is also envied by all for doing some substantial roles in movies like Fashion and Saat Khoon Maaf. Her counterparts can give an arm to grab these roles. What does she think? "I've been very lucky to be able to do all kinds of films and I've been told you know, if you don't do it, no one else can and we won't make the film. I guess I'm blessed," she says.

Piggy Chops even let out a secret as she quips, "I'm very competitive, a very bad loser. I'm the worst loser. I'll punch people if I lose in a game (laughs)."

Raunaq Ahuja, who proved his worth by doing some great parts in shows like Star One's Yeh Ishq Haaye and Zee TV's Sanjog Se Bani Sangini, is getting ready for his first ever theatre performance with Mohenjo Daro, a play written and directed by Akashaditya Lama.

"We are trying to show the Indus Valley Civilization that existed in the Pre Rig-Vedic era. The story will portray the intercultural conflicts that occurred between the Aryans and the Non-Aryans when they first came to India. The show also deals with the evolution of the new culture that we follow today", tells Akashaditya who has also been a penned down shows like KKussum and Kumkum.

"Raunaq will play the main role of Senapati (Chief General) of the Civilization where he will be portrayed as a warrior. It is a touch character", he adds.

TellyBuzz contacted Raunaq Ahuja and he excitedly says, "Yes, this is my first stint with theatre and I am glad that I am doing it with Akashaditya, my best friend and a very good writer. He wrote my first show and we have been friends ever since."

The show will be staged on 21 September in Prabodhankar Tarkey (Mini) Auditorium, Borivli at 9 PM and on 25 September in Tata Experimental, Nariman Point at 7 PM

Falling in this bracket is actor Ankit Kakkar who was portraying the character of Gautam in Star Plus' Navya and Aryeman in Imagine's Chandragupta Maurya. The actor decided to walk out from Navya as he was not content with the way his character was progressing. But the factual reason is that he is eagerly looking for an opportunity to be the main protagonist in a show.

We contacted Ankit who confirmed the report and stated, "Yes I have left Navya as I am looking for an opportunity to play a main lead whereas my character in Chandragupta Maurya will be killed."

Can you describe your character in Dharampatni?
Kastur is a young girl who waits to get married to the man who she got engaged with. She is very loyal to her husband and supports him and leads him towards the right path.

What are the aspects that are highlighted in Dharampatni?
The title itself speaks a lot. It talks about the tale of girl who takes care of her household and family.

Initially there were rumours about the show being based on the life of Gandhiji and Kasturbhha.
The story is nowhere related to Gandhi and Kasturbha, but people will see some resemblance, but the show is definitely not related to freedom struggle and other history.

Dharampatni has got the prime-time slot of 9:30pm which is highly competitive.
I am a little nervous, but that's the case in every show that I have done. When we get a slot like that, there is always high competition. Everyone would like their show to be number 1 show on television. But more than that the impact you create on the audience's mind is the most important factor. Today people still remember me as Santu from Bandini and that the number 1 show in the channel and that very big for us.

What were the challenges when you took up Kastur?
Challenges come with every role that you portray. Your first show is your biggest challenge because you are worried whether you will be able to act or not. But then later on when you do shows, you feel confident about yourself. But the biggest challenge after that is whether you are able to break that first image when you portray the other role. So, I guess, breaking the role of Bandini to Kastur is my greatest challenge.

Do you in real life believe in the saying; behind every successful man there is a woman?
Yes, I completely believe in that. We all know that every human being is not perfect, but once you are married your world changes. There are many things that a woman makes a man understand and a responsibility comes in the relation. I have grown seeing my parents and I can say that there has been many changes they have undergone with their marriage and with every development in their life after marriage.

Kastur has the simplicity and the innocence similar to Santu in Bandini. Do you feel yourself being repeated?
Not at all because Santu hailed from a poor background whereas Kastur hails from a financially sound background. There are differences in their outlook and way of life.

How is the experience working with Harshad Chopra?
It has been good so far but we did not get many scenes to do together yet. But whenever we meet, we talk a lot and we are good friends on the sets. We have built up our own good rapport.

Was there any special preparations done for the role?
I had to take up Hindi classes to get the proper diction and hold on the language. There are Gujarati words that are included in the script, but we have people to help us out on the sets.

How was shooting in Ahmedabad?
We were not actually shooting there, we went for the promotion of the show. It was nice.

How is it working with DJ's Creative Unit after working for a banner like Balaji?
I enjoy working with DJ's Creative Unit as well. There are a lot of people who were there with me on my previous shows.

Any memorable experiences from the show?
Actually every day is a memorable one, but I have not yet shot so much to really point out one.

What are your personal views on being a house wife?
I have complete respect for them and I can relate myself to Kastur a little because at this juncture I do not think that I can be a house wife.

The promos of the show have been very promising and audience has great expectations from show. Are you nervous?
There are a lot of expectations from people and I am nervous. They are happy to see me in a different show.

We have heard about you being in a committed relationship with Shakeb. What do you have to say?
I do not understand why people think that a guy and girl cannot be best friends. He is a very good friend of mine and I do not like to discuss further about it.

When are wedding bells to be planned?
Marriage will happen, but I do not know whether it is him or not because my parents have the authority to say that. For now I am very happy with the way my life is heading and when I am getting married, you guys will know it.

Any message to your fans?
There have been negative vibes and rumours that have surrounded me, but I would like to request them not to take anything to heart because whatever decision I take would be right. Do not believe in all the stuffs, and rather understand and try to know more before deriving any conclusions.

A source tells Tellybuzz, "3s Company is all set to come up with a love story for Mahua Gujarati. The story will focus on the relationship between a rich girl and a middle class boy. The basic motive of this show will be to focus on the theme that love has no boundaries and rules."

We contacted Producer Chinmay Purohit and he confirmed, "Yes, we are coming up with a new show and the auditions are on."

For me a relationship can't be very frivolous and I need to be with another man and he needs to calm me down."

She further adds, "I like Ranveer and he's attractive, but it's just a normal reaction. Like any other normal girl I get attracted to men too. The important thing is that the attraction happened after we became good friends. If you ask me why nothing followed, then the thing is that there is always a monitor inside me which tells me that this isn't good. I think this relationship is something that can't be seen as a relationship or love. It was just an attraction where I thought the guy is a nice. We are good friends and we will continue to be."

Shobhit Attray bags lead role in a movie!

Seems like it is time for the small screen actors to step into the Bollywood industry as after reporting about Siddhath Arora, we have another tellydom actor who is all set to step into the big screen. The latest to add on the list is Shobhit Attray last seen in Imagine TV's Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo.

A source informs, "Shobhit Attray has bagged a lead role in the movie called Talabgaar. It's a movie made by a new production house known as Innocent pictures. The Muhurat of the film is already over and the pre production work is on the floors. The production will start the shoot within few weeks."

"Many well known actors like Himani Shivpuri and Manoj Joshi will also feature in this movie. Adnan Sami after a long time will give his music composition for this movie, "adds source.

"I would have been a wild life photographer, if I had not become an actor.

I do not know from where the passion developed in me because I was doing nothing related to it earlier. I had a normal digital camera with me, a normal Sony Cybershot with 7.2 megapixels, and I remember taking a photograph with it. It came out really well and I knew that I have to do something related to that.

Though I do not have a professional camera with me at the moment I am planning to buy one so that I can really work on it. There is a friend of mine who has done a Photography course and I used to take suggestions from him.

There are two best photographs that I have taken till today. One that of a helicopter insect (Dragon Fly) and another one that I took is of a fly which is blue in colour. Both the photographs came out beautifully and I used to show it to my friends very proudly (laughs).

I love travelling and if I get a chance I would love to go to Jim Corbett National Park in Delhi and click pictures from there.

Today I do not have the time to do a course on Photography, but I will really work on it to improve."

TellyBuzz had an exclusive conversation with Shilpa wherein she expressed her life in Dill Mill Gayye and her life after the show...

You have been in the industry for so long. How has the journey been?
The journey has been different from what I had expected. I started my career doing films in South after which there was a phase when I did only commercials in Mumbai. Then I went on to do Ikraar By Chance after which I stepped into television with Dill Mill Gayye. And today again I am going to do a film. I have been swapping from one medium to another.

Was it easy for you to make a mark in here?
Frankly speaking, I am yet to make a mark. But comparatively it has been easy doing television and I guess I fitted into the role very easily because of which I got more popular.

Your Bollywood career has not been very fruitful. Do you think you belong here in television?
I am open to all kinds of roles and yes, television has given me the fame and recognition on a larger scale.

What has been the learning phase in your life?
I learn every day and one thing that I always keep in my mind is that whatever be it and however far you reach, maintain your calm in you because within a snap of time your behaviour can affect your relationship.

You have signed for a movie. Can you tell us about your role?
The name of the movie is Alert 24X7 produced under the banner of Pankaj Productions. In the film I am playing the role of an investigative journalist opposite Ruslaan Mumtaz. There are two more projects in the pipeline, but they are in its very initial stage to talk about.

How has life been after the second innings in Dill Mill Gayye?
I am enjoying the break with gymming, hanging around with friends and shopping. I am also handling the family business along with it.

Do you think you could not get as much fame when you compare to the first through this come back?
When I made the comeback, the TRP's had shot up from 0.2 to 0.8, that's what I have come to know. But there was a little confusion after that. But, personally I was happy as I could clear many things with this second innings with the show and the Production house, Cinevistaas.

What have you been busy with after Dill Mill Gayye?
I have been busy with meetings and preparations for projects.

Do you have any regrets for accepting to be part of Dill Mill Gayye again?
Not at all because there have been a lot of fan requests and messages that I have been receiving asking me to come back. And after coming back I have cleared so many things.

Is there any dream role that you would like to play in either television or movies?
I would love to do a Horror film.

What are the criteria you look at when you choose a role?
In television the role should have a substance and there should be an important message that should be sent across to the audience. In movies, I do not think I have reached those heights to be really demanding anything.

Even today, fans of you and Karan Singh Grover want you to be seen in a new show. What do you think was the factor that made you click as a couple?
Seriously even I do not know what made it work because in television your chemistry either clicks well or doesn't work at all. I think I would give all the credit to the creative team for bringing out the chemistry.

What have you thought about the future? When is wedding on cards?
Wedding is still a long way to go, may be another year or so until I get my perfect match.

Where do you see yourself five years from now?
I can see myself very much connected with the industry by either in acting or direction. I love directing also, but that will have to wait because I may plan to take up a course from New York Film Academy.

Do you think your look and original style restricts you to play only modern roles?
I do not know about that because in most of my movies I have played the simple Indian girl and even in Dill Mill Gayye I played a simple Indian girl. My sister is even more modern looking than me and she has done roles of a village girl really well. So I guess even I can do it.

Do you think you can cope up with the rural looks and role?
Yes, if an offer comes my way I would definitely try. Then again I think the creatives will again have to work hard on it (laughs).

How much have you matured as an actor? What have you learnt from the industry?
I learn something new everyday and one of the most important things that I believe in being patient with the people around me. One should never let anything get into the head and staying very down to earth. Though talent and acting are important in this field, maintaining your calmness is equally important.

When asked Hrithik about what according to him is dance he defines…
Dance is an expression, it's a passion, talent, emotion, and one has to just forget and move on. One has to forget all his worries and just let himself out.

What is this show all about?
The show is about pure dancing without any geographical restrictions. Firstly, we have participants from overseas and we also have international coaches to handle those contestants. When the auditions were on, every contestant had an exceptional and unique way of dancing and it was really a hard task for us to shortlist contestants from lakhs to thousands and then to the final 50. I have never been through such stress and emotional upheavals. But it was worth being there. And the other factor of the show is its tag line which says 'Sab Kuch Bhulake' Just Dance; which means it is not only applicable for the contestants but also every person. Because personally, through this show, I want to propagate the right vision of dance. Dance is not looking into whether it is aesthetically perfect, it's something where you are not aware of the outer world and are least bothered about how you are looking. The first form of dance is formless. You have to look stupid, foolish and enjoy the beats; people will automatically enjoy watching you and will want to have the same freedom of expression. The audience will automatically smile, clap for you, they enjoy you because you are letting yourself go. So that is the thing which I want to propagate through this show.

We heard that you did a music video after a long time that too for the first time, why was it so?
Actually speaking, since six years, I tried a lot to dance; sometimes in Akbar's get up which I wondered how to dance, then later in Gurazish again I thought I would dance (smiles), now Agneepath, it is all Khoon Se Latpat Latpat (full of bloodshed), so didn't get to dance. I have not been getting any chance to dance on big screen, and when the offer came up to me, I thought why not take a chance to move my legs here. So 'Just dance' was a good opportunity for me to let myself out and dance because through this music video I have done what I love to do as there is no restriction of any character. And also I see the contestants are doing well, my passion and eagerness to do something better has gone high. So hope my first video would be loved by audience.

How is your bonding with the contestants, because we heard that you are personally attached to them?
Even I was not aware that I could get so much attached with the contestants. And when they get eliminated it's really a very tough task to tell the contestants that you are no longer a part of the show and your journey has been stopped. I want all of them to be associated with the show forever. So I give them my personal number so that whenever they need any help they can approach me.

Who are the best dancers, Indians or outsiders?
Geographical boundaries cannot judge the talents. And dancers are dancers, may it be from a village or a city. There are a few contestants in the show, like one is a vegetable vendor and the other is a trained contemporary dancer, but both are equally good when it comes to dancing. Both are as good as each other in dancing. So geographical boundaries make no difference in dance as dance is universal and is totally aloof from this man made difference of boundaries. I am sure audience won't feel the difference when they will see them dancing.

How is Just Dance different from other reality shows and how far will this show prove to be lucky for the winners?
Talking about the winner I will say, apart from the cash prize of 1 crore and a car, he would get a chance to be a part of a dance video with me. That is something I think will be the most cherishing prize for the winner. Because I feel, the winner will spend all the money as he or she wants and finally it will vanish at some period of time. But the video will always remain with him as a memory. And now talking about my show, then there are a few movies which I do and there are also movies otherwise. In the same way, there are shows which other actors do and this is the show which I will do. Hope you get my point. Otherwise yes the show has a level far above than all the other dance reality shows.

Hrithik, what is the difference between madness and passion?
Dance can be called as madness. Everything for which you have a passion; it turns to be madness for that particular person. If you see through someone else's perception you will see the person going mad behind getting his steps perfect, but from that person's perception its mere passion to get the steps right. So madness is someone else's point of view but actually it's a passion. That's the only difference.

How do you manage time for the show as you must be busy with your other film projects?
I have to manage my time because I am really very busy these days. But time management is something which I am learning. Because according to me, a successful man is not someone who is very rich but is someone who knows how to manage time. If a man wants to do many things at a time, he has to first manage the time; then he is successful. And I am learning time management because as you all said, there are many things happening at a time.

How much time you spend for the show?
As much as time they want, I'd be there on the sets as I don't restrict time for work. Because work has to get done properly, we can't stop the creativity of a dancer just for time.

Which dance form do you feel is difficult?
For me, all the dance forms are difficult. Because whenever I start rehearsing any new dance steps, I feel it is difficult, but only when I bring out my efforts in the dance, something good comes from the dance which is loved by the audience. I start from zero and end up getting better. I am not the God of dance; I don't feel that I am; I am just a happy person. In fact I am a symbol of dance through which Gods of dance will get the opportunity. I would describe myself a hard working dancer.

Who is your idol in dancing?
I have two idols in dancing, one is the true God of dance, the Michael Jackson and the other is true God of formless dancing that is Shammi Kapoor.

Karan Kundra's half way to Bollywood...

Bollywood has always been a dreamland for any actor, but only a lucky few find their way to it. But what if the chance fall into your lap and you just have to watch it go its way as you do not have time?

Well, that's what happened with Karan Kundra aka Arjun of Imagine's Kitani Mohabbat Hain.

Karan Kundra was approached to play one of the leads for the movie Shaitaan that hit the screens recently with a bang.

When Telly Buzz asked Karan Kundra about this, he had to say, "Yes I was approached to play one of the leads in Shaitaan, but by then, I had already given my dates for Kitani Mohabbat Hai 2 and once when I am committed to something, I can't step back. I don't regret, but yes somewhere I was feeling a little bad for myself that I missed the shot. But it's fine. I believe that everything happens for the good. From the moment they showed me the script, I had the gut feeling that the film will be a huge hit."

Well Karan, all we can say is as you said, everything happens for the good and we wish you get a script as good as the one you missed today to make your step in the big screen.

We asked him what he would have been if he was not an actor, and here he gives the interesting reply.

What If…..

"I would have been in business and would have opened a chain of restaurants.

I am a foodie myself and I would love to see people having their time of life sitting in my restaurants and pleasing their diet with their favourite food.

I can definitely cook because I used to help my mother in the kitchen and I can prepare dal and rice and also flavoured rice which is my speciality. So if I am left alone, I will definitely survive with my own preparation.

My favourite cuisine is Indian and I love butter chicken. I love the spicy Indian food Tadka Maarke. And likewise I would like to create an ambiance in the restaurant where people can be served with their favourite food with a homely atmosphere where even the food is served by people who are as warm as people at your house. The interiors of the restaurant will remind you of your home and you will receive the coziness that you get at your home.

The restaurants in Mumbai that I like to spend time in are Ork Sahara Star, Mainland China, Tan Asia etc.

Shabia Ravi Walia has had an amazing 16 years in the TV industry wherein she has donned several hats, ranging from that of an Assistant Director, Executive Producer, Writer, Ideation Head and Creative Director etc. However her entry into the entertainment world happened by luck, when she was imparting knowledge to kids as a teacher.

Today Shabia has yet another achievement to her credit- she has gone on to write a book on motherhood. The book talks in detail about her baby's journey into this world, and also gives
some valuable tips for all would-be-mothers. Shabia who is presently working with a popular GEC is excited as the D-day for the launch of her book gets closer.

In a candid exclusive interview with TellyBuzz, Shabia talks of her journey in the television world and on being the author of a book with a unique and interesting subject.

First of all, tell us about your book.
My book is titled 'Mamma Mania - My baby's journey into this world. It talks about my baby's adventurous journey into this world. It is a book for all expecting mothers as well as new mothers. In addition to penning the story of my pregnancy to my delivery, I have incorporated various tips on what to eat and what not to eat during pregnancy, how to take care of your new born kid, what one needs to buy before and after delivery, advantages of having a baby sitter, tips to give massage to the baby etc.

Being in the entertainment field, why did you choose to write a book on motherhood?
It all started when I was in a phase of life wherein I was married for 3 years and decided to have a baby. However the stress of being in the media field had left me with no time to extend my family. Above all, my husband who is a cinematographer used to be out on work every now and then for months together, and this used to make things more tough. This is when I started to browse on the internet about the pre-pregnancy phase of a woman. And I found that all the information and books that were available were by the western world and there was literally nothing that spoke of the Indian experience of becoming a mother. In India things are very different and the decision to conceive is just not taken by the couple. It is a family decision and not a mere private affair. In such cases, there are various problems the girl goes through when she is not able to, or there is a delay in conceiving. The couple needs to go through various stress factors like work, family pressure etc. At the same time, you have lot many advantages out here, wherein you not only get the help of family, but also can afford a maid, cook etc to help you with errands. My book is a compiled summary of my experiences, not as a doctor or a medical expert, but from the viewpoint of a woman who was carefree with no time to live life, to the point where I got to be a complete woman after the birth of my daughter.

Can you share some instances from the book for us..
As I told you, conceiving was very difficult for me because of our busy lives. It was a tough phase filled with disappointments. That is usually a phase where women are upset on seeing a new born kid, or when they pass by a baby shop. There are lots of expectations and dreams that a woman carries within her, and actually longs for the moment when she can live her dreams. I have penned down various emotional moments as well as hilarious ones that I experienced.

We heard you have dedicated the book to your daughter?
Yes, the book is dedicated to my daughter Sia and my gynaecologist Dr. V. Rajalakshmi who was more like family to me. Sia is the most precious gift I have got in life, especially as during one phase of pregnancy, she was supposed to be at risk for 'Down's Syndrome'. Thankfully, she was born a normal, happy child. My doctor was a gem of a lady who has been through my sorrow as well as happiness and guided me as a friend throughout. Soon after my daughter's delivery, we received a jolt when we heard about her sudden demise. At times, I do feel that just because she is not with me anymore, I have not gone in for my second baby. This book is dedicated to both these women who have given me a lifetime of happiness.

So when did you start penning the content for the book?
It started when I took a 10 months break from work after my baby was born in April 2009. The excitement and challenges of being a mother inspired me to start writing a diary. Very soon, I realized that I had to make a book out of my experiences. Since I had a flair for writing, all fell in place and rest is history.

Do you intend to write about the entertainment field in which you are, in your second book?
The manner in which TV world functions is really amazing, and I would love to pen down my experiences one day.

How did you get into the media field after being a teacher?
That was something I never expected. I was then a very confident girl for my age, and I was offered to take part in a TV game show audition. This started my journey here, after which I worked as the Assistant Director for various game shows. I was part of the Surabhi team with Siddharth Kak, and that was an amazing journey. I have been a part of shows like Good Food Guide, Movers and Shakers, Breakfast with Zee etc. I was a part of the core team of news channel Sahara Samay during its launch phase. Then came the best phase of my career where I worked with BAG Films for 5-6 years. I was the creative director of the popular show, Siddhanth on Star One which was nominated for the Emmy's and that is my proudest moment till date. I have worked on quite a number of shows there including 'Ek Thi Rajkumari, Har Dil jo Love Karega, Mtv Youth Icon etc'. It was like working with family in BAG. I got married during this phase of life, and also bought my new house too.

So how is it working for a popular GEC right now?
After working for various production houses, I am now on the other side of the industry, that is with a channel. I am getting to learn the business side here, about the marketing strategies employed. The joy of seeing your hard work bear fruit on your TV screen is something to be cherished.

So how do you visualize television of today?
Television is getting bigger and better. With hundreds of channels offering a bouquet of varied
programming, one cannot afford any kind of complacency in this competitive world.

Getting back to your book, we hear that the book is to be launched soon in Landmark, Mumbai.
My book is already available on online book sites and book stores across India. However the official launch is happening on June 3rd at Landmark, Infiniti Mall, Mumbai by National Award Winning actress Konkona Sen Sharma.

As we near the big day, what is the feeling you have?
It feels like having another baby. You are happy, anxious, nervous, all kinds of feelings at the same time. And of course, Konkona launching the book, a mother herself, is like an icing on the
cake! I am thrilled that she read the book, liked it and agreed to be a part of the launch.

Any other person you would like to thank?
Yes, I would want to give a special mention of my publishers without whom this day would not have come. My heartiest thanks to India Log Publications for making my dream come true. And a big thank you to my husband Ravi for being there always for me. Lastly, my daughter Sia. The book is because she is. Sanaya Irani is all set to be back on small screen with the promising upcoming show on Star Plus, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.

Amidst all the stress, Telly Buzz thought about having a small chit chat about what she would have been if she has not become an actress.

What If…..

"I would have been an Interior Designer or a Fashion Designer had I not become an actress."

Though I was doing my MBA when I got into acting, I realized that I enjoy a lot designing houses. I like looking at the different houses and reading magazines on that.

My house was built long ago and my room has been the same since I was born. I did not redo my room because that was done by my parents. Today we know that no matter how ever we would like to design a house; there is always a budget that becomes a main issue.

May be when I go to a different house I might do it the way I like and if I have a choice to put my favourite shade in the bedroom, then I would choose off white or any light colours because I feel they give more space.

One thing I like about my bedroom is that the ceiling is made of wood and wood always gives a cozy feeling. So when I am off to bed I have a good view up.

One of my friends has her Bungalow in Juhu and i really admire her house. Since it is a bungalow, there is space in the house and you are free to do what you like, unlike what happens in flat. Flats actually restricts the area to do what you like.

Had I not become an actor, I would also have been a Fashion Designer.

But at the same time, I am not brand conscious and wear what makes me look fine and comfortable and I think I look fine in anything I wear."

SAB TV's sitcom LapataGanj always brings tracks that give out a social message. One such track that will be shown to the audience in the coming days will bring up the issue of certain Indian sports which have taken a back seat for the past few years.

A source informs us, "As the school vacations are going on, Lapataganj arranges a sports competition between its rival village Gumshuda ganj, where they will have to win the game to take away the cash prize. Indian sports like Kho Kho, Kabbadi, Hide n Seek, khusti will be featured in this competition, at the end of which a tug of war will decide the winner".

"With this Lapataganj will bring Indian sports which have faded away to the front. There would also be a dance competition between two villages", adds source.

We contacted Priti Amin who said, "There is a dance competition and lot many interesting things happening".

Chand Chupa Badal Mein to end on June 16th...

Rajan Shahi's Chand Chupa Badal Mein on Star Plus which was earlier moved to the afternoon slot of 2 Pm will now be bidding adieu to the viewers on June 16th.

As per the ongoing track, certain misunderstandings are created in the Sood house because Nivedia (Neha Sargam) is raising Divya's (Rishma Roshlani) kid. However all is well again between Nivi and Viren (Kinshuk Mahajan).

We hear that soon they will get the good news of Nivi being pregnant.

We contacted Kinshuk who told us, "We are not aware of the end. All I know is that things are now sorted between Viren and Nivi. We are not aware of the last shoot date".

We tried calling Producer Rajan Shahi for a brief on the final track, but he remained unavailable.

For all we know, the story is proceeding towards a happy end.

Mohit Malhotra, a Star in South East Asia..

We have all seen the dashing Mohit Malhotra gulping away the yummy mango drink Mazaa in the commercial ad that is on air these days.. The actor in the past few months has become a brand name in South East Asia when it comes to the popularity of his ads.

A source tells us, "Ever since Mohit shot for the Mazaa ad in Malaysia, there has been no looking back for him. Soon after, he shot for a Pakistan telecommunication ad in Bangkok. The ad got so popular that he has been called to shoot for the same again".

In fact, when we tried to call Mohit yesterday, he was boarding his flight to Bangkok. An excited Mohit told us, "Ya, it feels happy to be called not once, not twice but thrice for popular international ads".

Mohit as we know will be playing brother of Sakshi Tanwar in Sony's upcoming show, Bade Acche Laggte Hai. His entry is slated to be aired in the 4th episode. His entry sequence is supposed to be an airport scene wherein he comes from abroad.

However when we tried to probe Mohit further on his role, he refused to divulge any information.

It's Apara Mehta V/s Vibha Chibber on TV..

Viewers have been seeing the two stern mothers Apara Mehta and Vibha Chibber in action on small screen, as they are on a hunt for prospective brides for their sons.

Wondering what we are talking about? Well, we are referring to the similar looking promos of two upcoming shows on television. While Apara Mehta portrays the light hearted yet stern mother in Colors' upcoming show Hamari Saas Leela, produced by Neela Telefilms, Vibha Chibber is the elder Mrs. Kaushik in Zee TV and Rashmi Sharma Telefilms' upcoming show, Mrs. Kaushik Ke Paanch Bahuyein.

A one look at both the promos, and one can visualize the striking similarity in the concepts which revolves around the mothers looking for a perfect match for their sons.

So how will the mothers go about this task? Which mother will emerge as the ultimate winner when it comes to TRPs?

If we go about looking at the experience of the actors, it looks asthough Apara has it in her to play the perfect mother-in-law as this zone is not new to her at all. On the other hand, we have Vibha who got to become a good mother in Star Plus' Bidaai, but needs to prove a point when it comes to portraying the demanding saas on small screen.

On this note, we talked to both the leading ladies Apara Mehta and Vibha Chibber to know what they have to say about being pitted against each other in similar looking shows.

Apara justifies it like this. "Our story is very light hearted as it is based in Mumbai. The mother in law is very much genuine who understands life. But just because some past incident has shattered her, she makes her mind to find a perfect bride for her sons. Otherwise she has given all freedom to her children to live their life".

While Vibha has this to say, "I don't think our story is similar to the Colors' show, because my sons are already married; I am searching for a suitable girl only for my youngest son. And as the promo says, a girl who lies a lot will be my daughter in law. That's all I know
about my show".

It's now to be seen which of the mothers strikes gold! And when it comes to the production houses in competition, both Neela Telefilms and Rashmi Sharma Telefilms have succeeded in giving hit shows in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Saathiya respectively. However
Neela Telefilms' last launch Pyaar Mein Twist could not get the needed TRP ratings, while Rashmi Sharma's Sasural Simar Ka has not had a great start.

All we can say is, Let The Game Begin..

Supriya Kumari to be the Looteri Dulhan..

TellyBuzz was the first to report about the probable replacement of Krishna Gokani, the lead of Imagine's Looteri Dulhan.

We had stated that few names like Supriya Kumari, Natasha Sharma, Parul Yadav, Aarti Singh were approached to play the title role.

The news now is that it is Supriya Kumari of Bairi Piya fame who has bagged the role.

Supriya had told TellyBuzz earlier that she had been approached for the role. We tried to reach her today, but could not get thro to her.

We hear that Krishna has shot her final scene and Supriya will take over very soon.

We hope the show gets a new lease of life in terms of ratings with this freshness..

Meri Toh Lag Gayi...Naukri sees an abrupt closure

UTV Bindass started off with its new experimental show titled Meri Toh lay Gayi Naukari, produced by D J's Creative Unit, starring Priyanka Chibber and other well known actors just a month back. But the buzz is that the show has stopped its telecast abruptly.

A source says, "Yes, the show has been called off. There were some issues between the Production House and the channel which lead to the abrupt closure of the show."

We also hear that if everything falls in place, the channel will be coming up with Meri Toh Lag Gayi Naukari Season 2. But for now, the channel has called off the show.

"There were some new entries expected in the show which was getting delayed and finally, last week, the Production House had to take the decision of axing the show, "signs off source.

We tried hard to get in touch with Diya Singh, the Producer of the show, but all our efforts were in vain.

We contacted Priyanka Chibber who essayed a meaty role in the show and she confirmed, "Yes, the show has gone off air due to some reasons, but it was a fine experiment with the show."

Clearing the clouds from the reason, she states, "The show had a format that restricted the telecast to a few episodes."

Hope the second season does well on the channel…

Gold Awards to hold a charity match...

Telly Buzz had already reported about Gold Awards, First Global Indian Television Awards, coming all the way to India this year. The awards which were held in Dubai and Mauritius for the past two years will, for the first time, be held in the homeland. But this year the awards are coming along with a kind intention.

The Gold Awards have formed a charity trust called as the Gold Charity Trust which will help those people from the television industry who are normally ignored.

According to a source, "The Trust is formed by Vikas Kalantari and as the first step to charity; the Trust will organize a cricket match this month, for which most of the television would participate."

We contacted Vikas and he confirmed, "Yes we have formed a charity trust called Gold Charity Trust through which we will help all the people from the TV industry to grow. This time we are organizing a cricket match and we are planning for more such events in future."

Sukirti Kandpal is in cloud nine these days as she is going international to represent India at the Miss India International contest which is going to be held in Dubai.

Sukirti is gearing up for the tough competition where she will be facing contestants from all round the world.

Telly Buzz caught up with the actor and had a chat where she shared her excitement with us.

First of all, congratulations for being the lucky one to get picked up to represent India.
Thank you so much.

Could you share with us what title is it and how were you approached for this?
The title is for Miss India World Wide, and the contest happens every year and for the past three years it has been happening in South Africa and this year it is in Dubai. So they wanted a girl who could represent India and I think it is a girl's dream to compete for a beauty pageant and when the opportunity came up, I didn't want to miss it. I have never been to Dubai and hence it is an added advantage for me. For the past three years I have been so caught up with work that I did not get time to be myself. Either it is Riddhima or Piya always. And since I am open to all the adventures of life, I thought I should take it up.

How are you getting yourself prepared to represent the country?
It is really tough for me as I have to adjust the preparations with the shoot and it is really hectic for me. There is a talent round for which I am rehearsing a dance and also I am preparing for a Q and A round.

What do you think your strength is on the basis of this pageant?
I feel that I am confident in whatever I am doing and that is really an important aspect while taking part in such a competition. I also believe that I am a confident orator and have a sense of styling because of which I am confident about the clothes I wear. I know it is going to be a tough competition for me but at the same time I am glad that I am not taking it lightly and I am really working hard for it.

This is the first time you are taking part in a pageant that too on an international level; how do you feel?
Actually I do not have much time to think or even feel about it (laughs), but at the same time I am enjoying and excited about this because I have never been to a pageant. For a long time I have just been the characters and today I am getting a chance to be the real Sukirti Kandpal. I want to do certain things in life before time runs out from my hands.

What according to you should be present for a Beauty Pageant contestant?
The basic aspect that a contestant needs is the confidence and being genuine.

What are the different rounds that you will undergo in the competition?
There is a round wherein I have to wear the Indian ethnic wear and I will be wearing a Saree designed by Shyamli Arora. For the talent round I will be wearing a Ghaghra and Choli and for the final rounds I will be wearing gowns designed by Archana Kochhar. As of now these are the only rounds that I am aware of and I do not know about the other rounds.

What was your first reaction when you heard that you have been selected to represent the Country for a beauty pageant?
I was really happy and was little skeptical too. But then, I am not thinking much about whether I will win or lose as I am just concentrating on the work that I am supposed to do.

Who is your role model when it comes to beauty pageant?
I feel both Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta are great because they both are international figures and I like the way they carry themselves as strong women.

Your style icon and why?
Frankly speaking, I do not have a style icon because I do not believe in copying others. Instead, I believe in creating my own style.

What quality do you like the most about yourself and why?
I can work really hard for things that I really like.

What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion is something that defines you as a person and we should not take fashion in the real fashion way and should wear what you are comfortable in.

What is your definition of success?
Success is not just about how you portray out because success has to be mental success also. There are people who are really successful but still not happy mentally.

What bothers you most about what is happening in your country today?
The condition of women in our country still bothers me because they are still looked down upon. The day when the behavior towards women change in the country, we will have a better nation than this.

I do not think I can be anything else other than an actor.

Since my childhood, I have always wanted to become an entertainer and fortunately my parents are open-minded and they always encouraged me to listen to what my heart calls for. And my dad was also with ok with it but the only condition he laid in front of me was that I have to finish my graduation and have to get a work experience of a year.

Thus, after finishing the school I did my Hotel Management after which I was off to Muscat where I completed a year as a Sales Executive. With the completion of a year of work, I called up dad and said, 'Dad, I completed one year as you said. And now I am coming back.'

I came to Mumbai later and participated in Gladrags Man Hunt. I did not win it but at the same time I was the Popular Model of 2004. But after that life was not as easy as it seems to be and there have also been struggles in my life.

But today I have no regrets as I am doing what I like and my parents are also extremely happy along with the viewers. I believe that when you wake up in the morning, you should think of doing something that gives you 100% satisfaction rather than just 40%.

I would like to say to all the aspiring actors that follow your heart, but at the same time be a little practical because I am not one. But at the same time it is not necessary that it could be the situation for all. Know how to maintain a balance.

Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal started their acting academy, RIRO-Reel In, Real Out, with the ex-couple of the industry, Ali Merchant and Sara Khan. But Karan and Nisha decided to take care of it on their own terms after Ali and Sara split up.

But the present scenario says that the academy has been closed after the institute apparently couldn't meet up with the expectations of the founders.

According to our source, "Karan and Nisha decided to shut the institute as the institute was not really doing well as expected and also there has been some internal problems too."

We contacted Karan Mehra and he says, "Yes we have decided to close our academy and today we are giving a farewell to our students. Actually the institute did not click as much as we had expected and also there were many aspects that led to the closure."

The latest addition to the list of Bollywood entries are Krip Suri and Shakti Anand.

A source from the industry informs, "Krip Suri and Shakti Anand are going to feature in Shubh Films' Haule Haule Ho Jayega Pyaar. The movie is directed by Pankaj Batra who had earlier done a Punjabi movie."

Talking more about the cast of the movie a source says, "It's a family entertainment movie based on the backdrop of Punjab. Krip Suri, Shakti Anand and Vikram Bali will be essaying three brothers in the movie. Krip will be essaying Pumma, who is a fun loving person and will add a comic flavor to his character.Shakti Anand will be essaying Shivendar who is elder to Pumma."

We contacted Krip Suri and he confirms, "Yes, we have completed the first schedule of the movie and I am looking forward for the movie to release."

Shakti Anand too confirmed the buzz, "I have shot for the movie and hope audience will like my character in it."

Krip Suri was last seen in Zee TV's Apno Ke Liye Geeta Ka Dharmyudh and Shakti Anand was last seen in Sony TV's Godh Bharaai.

Karan Singh Grover turns host for Channel V

The television hot hunk, Karan Singh Grover has been out of limelight after his immensely popular show on Star One, Dill Mill Gayye, went off air.

But the actor has no intention to keep his fans waiting, as he will be back on television soon; but, this time not as an actor in a daily soap, but as an anchor for Channel V.

A source says, "Colosseum, the makers of the most popular series of Roadies, is coming up with a new travelling show on Channel V, tentatively named Couple. As the name suggests, couples will be participating in the show, where the participating couples will be ordinary people and not celebrities. The show is expected to launch in June."

We contacted Karan Singh Grover and he confirmed, "Yes, I am doing the show, but I cannot divulge anything right now."

We also contacted the Producer Ajit Andhare of Colosseum who confirmed the news, "Yes Karan Singh Grover is hosting the show, but it's too early to talkmore about the show."

Tellybuzz earlier reported about Neela Telefilms coming up with a new show on Colors, tentatively titled, Bahu Wahi Jo Saas Mann Bhaye. The show focuses on the different side of the saas-bahu saga wherein the Saas always bows down to her Bahu.

We had written about Apara Mehta (fame Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo) playing a meaty role where she will be essaying the role of Saas, who is very much worried about her to be daughters in law.

And the buzz is that, Feroz Bhagat the veteran Gujarati theater actor is finalized to essay the husband of Apara Mehta.

A source reveals, "Feroz Bhagat who has completed about 11 years of his theatrical journey with Apara Mehta will now be seen together with her on Colors. Feroz Bhagat and Apara Mehta's Jodi made history in theaters and once again they are together to make it a big hit on small screen. Feroz got finalized to essay the role of Apara's husband in the show who is madly in love with his wife."

We too hear that this show is going to start a new trend wherein husband calls his wife as a don.

We contacted Feroz and he confirms, "Yes, talks are on for essaying a role opposite to Apara, but I have no clue about my character."

We hear that the show will be on floors by 16th of May.

What If.....

"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."

"I would have been a Fashion Designer if I was not as actor.

Though I have not done any course on it, I get good comments on the way I dress up and carry myself. All my co-stars and friends are always ready for a fashion tip from me and, I can really bounce over fashion. I myself get inspired of people who dress up very well and really get lit up with them.

My normal wear includes a pair of jeans and a spaghetti top or short skirts and T-Shirts.

But during summer I recommend everyone to wear a lot of white and pastel coloured dresses. I would also recommend floral wears and also skirts. Shun the jeans and bury it somewhere deep inside your closet and use cotton and very light clothes this summer.

My favourite color is shades of Pink and Green and white is the ultimate colour.

I am not a brand conscious person and thus I can shop anywhere around. It is the material and the stuffs that matter and, unless and until if the piece is not defective, I do not mind buying it.
I am not particular about western or Indian outfits as I like wearing both. But it is true that I do not wear suits too often. But nowadays I am used to wearing suits because I am in the outfit more than twelve hours. And there have been days when I had gone to a party wearing a bindi.

I know I am not a great stylist, but I used to give my friends make over tips and I might have give around 16 make over tips for 16 different people. I myself was a chubby kid and it took a lot of hard work to get where I am today. Hence, I used to force and encourage my friends to have a proper diet to have a healthy body."

Ekta Kapoor's presence not only surprised Shailesh but also stunned the celebrities and media gathered.

When contacted, a delighted Ashita told us, "To tell you frankly, I was also surprised to see Ekta Kapoor in our party. Having said this, I have to admit that we are very good friends and usually chat. We have a good rapport going, and Ekta had recently invited us to the Holi party she hosted. So I thought I have to invite Ekta for Shailesh's birthday party. Shailesh is a big fan of Ekta, and he relished the surprise".

Sony TV has always given us fresh faces, and the latest entry, all set to make the mark in the industry is none other than the 'mastikor' and the clean hearted Dhruv of Chhajje Chhajje Ka Pyar, Manish Tulsiyani.

Manish, in an exclusive chat with Telly Buzz, tells how his dad had given only a year to set himself in the industry and how he is happy with his son today.

How has been the experience in the show so far?
I had a great experience so far and since it is my first show, it is really close to my heart. We have a great DOP, Deepak, who is always there to help us any time. I always get positive vibes from everyone around here, where all are like a family already. Though initially I was really apprehensive about doing scenes with senior actors, I later realised that I actually feel really comfortable doing scenes with them

How did you bag the role?
I started my career as a model doing print ads when I came to Mumbai for the first time. At that point of time I did not give a serious thought about television shows and acting. But later on, my coordinator informed me about the auditions that were going on. When I appeared for the auditions, I was offered the role of both Daksh and Dhruv and had auditioned for both. But I guess I could connect more with Dhruv and could perform that well. But even when they had called for the look test and a scene, I had not built up hopes because I had already been rejected from certain shows. But I feel that the show was destined for me.

How can you relate yourself with the character?
Dhruv, in most ways is similar to Manish, apart from the fact that Manish is really a fun guy and mastikor only with close friends and family whereas Dhruv with everyone around. I am little shy when it comes to mingling with strangers and take time to get along with strangers.

The ratings of the show have not been really impressive; comments?
Actually the show began with the season of World Cup and that was the reason the show suffered with the TRPs. I hope we pick up on that as well because the show is really very nice and we are really working hard for it.

How is your rapport with Shambhavi Sharma?
We have a great rapport off screen where we help each other, as well as pull each others legs and have fun all the time.

Were you reluctant to take up a show in Sony TV?
Actually I was really happy when the show was offered to me and did not even think about the other shows on Sony TV. And it was later that my friends reminded me about the shows that went off air like Baat Hamari Pakki, which we replaced. They also told that shows like CID and episodics work on the channel. But now I am just concentrating on my character and trying hard to put myself more into the character because, I feel that I am not really putting enough which Dhruv really demands.

What do you think were the challenges when you took up the role?
When I was given the role I thought the role would be really simple to enact and I could portray the character well. But as I started playing the character, I realised that the role is not that easy to play. Dhruv is really outspoken to everyone whereas Manish is outspoken only to his family and close friends and that trait was a little difficult for me to portray. I did not have much difficulty in getting hold of the Delhi slang because I myself am a Sindhi from Rajasthan and we normally speak in a similar way.

You recently had a chat with Anushka and Ranveer Singh; how was the experience of sharing screen space with him?
I had a great time interacting with Ranveer Singh and Anushka and Ranveer is really nice and a cool guy to interact with.

Have you ever been compared to Ranveer Singh in terms of looks?
Initially people used to compare me with Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor because they felt I look like them from sideways. And today it is Ranveer Singh. I am really happy that they compare, but at the end of the day I like to be known as Manish Tulsiyani as that is my real identity.

Who is your idol in the TV industry?
I really do not have anyone like that because I am really into movies.

Can you connect to the title Chhaje Chhajje Ka Pyar?
Initially I felt a little weird hearing the title, but I felt it really cute. I can really connect to the title because I used to stay in such an environment when I was in Rajasthan.

So what do you normally do on terrace?
Way back home I used to have a lot of fun with my friends on terrace where we used to sleep and fly kites during festivals.

Can you tell us something about yourself? Your upbringing and background?
I am from Rajasthan and we have a family business of Textiles in Bikaner where we have whole sale and retail markets. My dad really wanted me to join the business but I wanted to do something different for which dad had given me time for a year. Hence I came to Mumbai to look for a break.

How is your rapport with your co-stars?
I have a great rapport with my co-stars especially with Virendra Saxena Ji. Kiran Kumar Ji and him are great people to work with where they are ready to help any time we need.

What was the most struggling part of your life?
Frankly speaking I really did not have a struggling period in my life. I came to Mumbai in 2008 and as soon as I came here, I got a print ad assignment to do. After that I continued doing modelling and ads, but it was later that I realised that the time given by dad was over and I needed more time to settle myself. Dad granted me another year and luckily, it was when the assorted time was about to get over that I got in the show.

Many shows on Sony TV have gone off air lately; what is your take on this?
I know that daily soaps have not been into a long run when it comes to Sony TV, but I hope that the show does well and not go off air soon because the show is really good. And I believe that if a show goes off air, it should go only after the actors have made their mark and people recognise them so that they can be cast in other shows as well.

There are a lot of senior actors in your show, how has been the experience with them?
All are great and they are all fun to work with and I really feel comfortable acting with all of them

Sara Khan breaks partnership with Ali, starts her own parlour

It's a known fact that Sara Khan and Ali Merchant who got wedded in a lavish manner in the Bigg Boss house are no more together!! Well, Sara has now gone a step ahead by withdrawing her partnership for the spa 'Da Luxury Lounge – Tvam' which she set up with Ali, Dr. Jitesh Shetty and Richboyz Entertainment.

The latest is that she has now started her own parlour in the Suburbs of Mumbai.

When contacted, Sara confirmed the news with TellyBuzz saying, "Yes, I have broken my partnership with the Da Luxury Lounge on a good note. I do not want to talk about the reason; I just want to tell that I am no longer associated with the Spa. I have started my individual parlour at Lokhandwala, and it is named 'K SARA'".

Talking more about it, Sara who plays the protagonist in Zee TV And Rajita Sharma's Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi said, "My maamu is taking care of my parlour. I have decided to personally take time off from my hectic schedule to take care of my parlour activities".

If not an actor I would have definitely been a dancer.

Since my childhood I have had the flair of dancing and I was not really trained in classical dance form. But I was into semi classical dance, and have learnt Bharatnatyam as well. In order to make myself familiar with the Mudras, I had taken lessons.

Apparently during my school days I was not into dancing much, in fact there was no much encouragement given to extracurricular activities in my school. I was more into singing, but still I would only say that I am a decent singer.

My favourite dance style is Indian Contemporary, and Zara Nach Ke Dikha and Nach Baliye have given me a great platform to showcase my dancing skills. According to me Saroj Khan is still the best choreographer in the country and since I have worked with Vaibhavi in Zara Nach Ke Dikha, she is also my favorite. I believe, she knows what suits me well and is aware what I am good at.

I have been into several performances and I feel that the ones I did in Nach Baliye and Zara Nach Ke Dikha were very demanding both physically and mentally. I have learnt a lot from those shows. The performance that I did with Mukti and the solo performance of Ore Piya are in the list of my favorites and the Table dance that I did with Aamir is also a memorable one.

I would love to open a dance school in future, that is when I feel the need to settle. But at the moment I am really busy with the shoot and tight schedules.

We really hope you fulfill your dream, and it is indeed a pleasure to see you on tapping your feet on stage..

Amit Dolawat to star in a Marathi show!

An actor has no barrier, and Amit Dolawat has just proved that!! The actor who is presently seen in Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will now try his hand at regional shows!!

Amit who is a not a Maharashtrian will be essaying a prominent role in the ongoing Marathi show, 'Runzun' which airs on Saam TV.

As per our source, "Amit will be essaying the role of Kedar Kelkar, who is a doctor by profession. He will come as a saviour in the show".

Talking about how he went about accepting the role, Amit states, "Actually the Producer wanted to cast me since a year, but I was afraid to take it up as I am not a Maharashtrian. Though I am not new to the language, I was in a dilemma whether I will be capable of narrating long sentences. It so happened that the Producer had faith in me and insisted that I do the role. And today, I am happy to have accepted the challenge. I see this as a great opportunity to thank the soil and give back something to the great literature".

Amit was recently seen in an episodic of Sony TV's Adaalat.. His entry in the show is scheduled this Saturday!

Raghu Ram hurts himself in a fire-task ...

Roadies, since its launch, has been known for its unmatched and unique tasks that demand more than just confidence from a participant. And Raghu Ram, being the 'Captain of the ship', makes sure that he goes thro' each and every task personally before each Roadie gets to do it.

Like always, the experiments happened this season as well but Raghu was put in a spot of bother when one such experiment went wrong.

Our source informs, "Raghu suffered first degree burns while trying out a fire task in Kolhapur for this season of Hero Honda Roadies- 8, Shortcut to Hell".

We contacted Raghu and he says "Actually I have been performing tasks since the first season of Roadies in 2003 and I have been injured several times. This was just another task, but got pretty much worse. This was a fire task where only the back and legs were supposed to be put on fire. The firemen had already said that the front part of the body cannot be set on fire because of the risk factor involved. But I wanted to try out how worse it could become once we are set. So I just set the fire on and was in flame for nearly 30 to 40 seconds which was beyond the expected time limit".

"The fire got worse when my suit became red hot and the heat started pricking my body. When I laid on my back for the others to set the fire off, the suit got stuck to my skin because of the intense heat and it came off".

We hear that the tough task master continued with the shoot even after succumbing to burns..

Raghu says, "I know that I am the Captain of the Ship and it is my duty to make sure that my crew members are highly safe whenever they perform any task".

The task was included in the show with more safety measures and lesser time limit of 20 seconds that ended safely with zero injury.

Way to go, Raghu!!

Ranvijay Singh to host MTV's Stunt Mania..

The latest is that Ranvijay Singh, who is presently hosting Roadies Shortcut to Hell has been roped in as anchor of the new show. He will be accompanied by Stunt Guru Allen Amin as host. The shoot of the show is already underway, and is expected to go on air in May.

However, this Friday has given the actors some bad news, as their small roles in the movie had to be scrapped at the last minute. The reason for this is that the makers wanted to cut down certain scenes due to the extended length of the movie.

An insider tells us, "Reshmi and Vindoo had shot for the film, but they are no longer part of it. Their chunk has completely been taken off due to technical issues".

Reshmi Ghosh was to play Bobby Deol's girl friend in the movie. There was a scene wherein Bobby's wife played by Sonam Kapoor catches him red-handed with his girl friend. This is when Bobby convinces her that he has nothing to do with the girl, and that Vindoo is her husband.

A very disappointed Reshmi Ghosh tells us, "Please don't remind me the truth that I am no longer part of the film. Our scenes have been removed due to the length of the film. I remained clueless of this development, and came to know of it just recently".

Our efforts to reach Vindoo were in vain!

Vindoo was last seen on television in Sony TV's Maa Exchange, while Reshmi essayed the role of Nupur in Star Plus' Tere Liye...

Our sympathies are there for both the actors, but we do hope that they get many more better opportunities to prove their worth on the big screen...

Sphere Origin's kids show on Disney!

Sunjoy Wadhwa's Sphere Origin has given viewers some sensitive and absorbing story lines in Balika Vadhu, Godh Bharaai, Jyoti, Gulaal etc. Now the production house is trying an out-of-the-box comedy show on Disney Channel...

A little birdie tells us, "Sphere Origin is coming up with a kid's show which basically is an adaptation of a Hollywood show. It is tentatively titled 'J.P. Nagar ke Jaadugar'. The show is about a family which includes the father, mother, their three kids and the uncle. The father who has all the magical powers marries a normal girl, and chooses to give away his powers to his younger brother. This is when the entire magical drama kick-starts".

The cast for the show is almost finalized and the show will go on floor in the next few weeks.

Veteran actor like Guddi Maruti will be seen essaying the teacher of the three kids while Mahesh Thakur (Fame Sasural Genda Phool) and Sonia Rakkar will play the father and mother in the show. Kiku Sharda (fame F.I.R) will be portraying the magical uncle.

We contacted Sonia Rakkar who had this to say, "Yes, audience will get to see me in Sphere Origin's magical show on Disney".

Kiku Sharda too confirmed the news while we could not get thro' to Mahesh Thakur.

We tried calling Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa, but he remained unavailable for comment.

We hear that the show will probably start from late July or early August.

Being a lawyer is one of the most responsible jobs that any person could be in. Sukirti Kandpal says she would have been a lawyer if not an actor...

If not an actor I would have been undoubtedly a lawyer by profession. In fact I had got admission to one of the top law universities before I came to the industry, but my heart truly lied somewhere else.

My father is a Public Prosecutor and is at a high rank at the High Court of Uttaranchal and is also the President of the Bar Council of India. He was more upset than my mother when I chose a career out of the legal body.

Like my father, I would have been a Public Prosecutor or a Corporate Lawyer, practicing under him if not an actor. Also I would have done social service like him because I have seen him helping needy people on legal as well as financial matters. He has a great authority and it is always an inspiration to see him, even though I have not been to his proceedings.

I believe that being a Lawyer is one of the most respectable professions in India and girls as lawyers receive more respect and dignity in the society. I personally do not like the way girls are sometimes graded lower than the men. This profession definitely puts the person a level ahead in society.

I did my economics honours in my college for this, but then I was destined to do what my heart told me...

her in a bungalow in Madh to watch the Finals. Actors like Gurmeet Choudhary, Debina Bonnerjee, Rahul Mahajan, Dimpy Ganguly Mahajan, Ankita Lokhande, Sushant Singh Rajput, Nandish Sandhu, Rashmi Desai, Saurabh Pandey and many other television actors will celebrate the day together. They plan to put up a projector for a better view, and to get the feel of the Live match".

We contacted Debina and she confirms, "We had actually planned this even before the semi-finals, but did not tell anyone as we wanted India to reach the Final first. Now that we have won the nail-biting semifinal against Pakistan, we decided to execute this plan so that we get together to watch the match and cheer for our team".

We tried contacting Gurmeet but he remained unavailable.

Ankita Lokhande too confirmed her presence and said, "Yes, we will together cheer our nation; it will be great fun".

The show as we know, is about the pure and unconditional bonding that a brother and sister share..

We hear that Divyanka Tripathi who has excelled as an actress in the last few years was offered to play the powerful and challenging role of the sister. She was last seen in SAB TV's Mrs. & Mr. Sharma Allahabad Waale.

As per our source, "Divyanka was almost finalized to play the elder sister who is handicapped due to polio. She happened to be the best choice available for the role. The channel and production house were on the verge of getting her on board, but things did not materialize. Divyanka had some prior commitments and could not manage the dates. Hence she was forced to decline the offer".

With this, the search for the actor to play the sister is still on.

We contacted Divyanka Tripathi who said, "Yes, it is true that I was offered the sister's role. The role was very challenging and I would have loved to take it up. The problem is that I have already committed to do a short film, and will be going outdoor for its shoot. Above all, there was a clash in dates".

For the uninitiated, Barun Sobti of Baat Hamari Pakki Hai fame has been finalized as the male lead. The girl opposite him has also not been finalized.

Ashmit Patel who created all noise by being part of COLORS' Bigg Boss 4 is back for his second innings on television. This time, he will be seen as the host of UTV Bindass' new reality show Super Stud.

A source informs, "UTV Bindass is coming up with a reality show named 'Super Stud', produced by Vishal Mull who has produced Date Trap for UTV Bindass and Indian Idol on Sony TV. The shoot for the reality has not started and is slotted to go on air by April end".

Talking about the concept of the reality show a source states, "The contestants will have to prove that they are the ultimate Casanova by passing all the tasks given".

A source from the channel confirms, "Yes, UTV Bindass and Vishal Mull are once again coming up with a unique reality concept which will be hosted by Ashmit Patel".

Talking about her low-key wedding that happened on February 8th 2011, Bhavna says, "It was a Arya Samaj wedding which took place in front of both the families. It was a low profile wedding wherein not many apart from the close family was present. Karan and I had been in a relationship for 12 long years, and I had thought I would never marry anyone (smiles). Today it feels good to be married".

About life after marriage, she states, "Nothing much has changed in life after my wedding. I keep busy the whole day with my shoot and he is busy with his work. If not an actor, I would have definitely been a singer.

I have been learning classical music since I was six years old and used to participate and win competitions at school. All my friends thought that I would become a singer when I grow which evidently did not happen.

My mother, Kamini Khanna, has been a music director and lyricist for various songs and she composed the pop album that was released on Govinda. Earlier I used to sing in her chorus. She used to do classical music programmes where she used to recite Keerthanas. My naani Nirmala Devi was also a renowned singer.

My Guru Pt Prakash Prasad used to come home and teach me music and I used to Riyaaz regularly during those days. But last November, he passed away and since then I had not given a serious practice into my music. His name was taken in KBC last season.

In order to give my singing a push, I had gone to participate in Channel V's first show of Pop Star hunt. But all my dreams were shattered when they said I am underage and hence cannot even give it a shot. I was totally heartbroken, so much so that I did not have the heart to take part in another singing competition.

Today my mother thinks I have to be more confident while singing which I myself feel is true. And if God blesses, I might release my musical piece in future.

Singing is my soul and I love old Hindi songs a lot.

Fashion designers are well in demand these days as trend and fashion changes daily and fashion makes one of the main identities of a person. They are considered to be creative people who make people look ravishing in their clothes. But it is an unavoidable fact that these hot outfits may even burn the pockets of a buyer.

So Fashion Designing is indeed a glamorous profession with which one can make a great earning. And Additi Gupta said that she would have been a fashion designer if not an actor.

Let's hear it from Additi Gupta...

I would have been a Fashion Designer if I was not an actor, that is if I had completed my course which I was doing before I entered into the industry.

I was a student of Fashion Designing in Symbiosis College, Pune and it was during the middle of the semester that I had auditioned for Balaji. After the auditions, I got constant calls from the production house after which I had to forego my studies and today when I look back I really do not feel like going back. I am enjoying what I am doing and I get in touch with various designers from whom I can really learn. And, may be sometime in future I might open a Boutique of mine, but not at the moment.

Among the international designers, I like Roberto Cavalli. I just love that guy and he does the best of Animal Prints and I am really crazy about them. And my friends know that I am a complete psyche on them. Recently when they went to Macau, they got me boots with Animal Prints. And also I do have a bag and some hair pins also with animal prints (can you believe it). But it doesn't mean that my wardrobe is filled with clothes of those prints.

Among Indian designers, I like Tarun Tahiliani because his Sarees are really amazing. And one actress whose dressing I am in awe of is Sonam Kapoor. She has a great sense of dressing and I love the way she carries herself. My friends had been talking about the costumes of the movie Aisha so much that I finally watched the movie, just to see the costumes and they were indeed stunning.

My dressing style depends on the occasion or the place I go. If it is a hangout with friends, I prefer a normal T-shirt and casuals but if it's a party, I prefer a dress. But if it is a family function, I am compelled to wear a traditional one because there is a family etiquette to follow, even if my family is really cool about it. Personally I do not like wearing very short dresses as my legs are heavy and hence I prefer short or mid length dresses. But ultimately I feel that the best dress comb would be a denim and a Kurti because you have nothing to worry after wearing it. That's the most decent and friendly attire, better than even the T-shirt and jeans.

My favourite colour keeps on changing, but my ultimate colour is White. When I visited Jaipur recently, I bought two white Kurtis' and my mom was cribbing at them.

When complexion is concerned, bright colours look really good on people who are really fair, but at the same time people with dark complexion have to make sure that they do not wear bright colours, as it will make them look even darker.

I am a super shopaholic and I curse my production team whenever they do not give me a break and to add on, if there is a mall near the sets I waste all my money in shopping whenever they give me a break. My favourite shopping destination is Bandra and Palladium and I am not particular about brands. I make it a point to buy branded bags, shoes and denims because we tend to use them for a long time. Brand is insignificant for me when it comes to Kurtis and T-shirts and all that matters is, whether it is looking and nice and comfortable to be in.

Clothes are the eye candy of any occasion and they deserve to be the prominent aspect that helps one determine the personality and choice of a man.

Earlier clothes were just a matter of cover up for the body but today, it is a style and a status symbol of any man and woman. Being a designer and stylist is no less than being an artist as it has a lot of creativity and innovativeness.

If not an actor I would probably be doing anything related to clothing and would mostly be a designer with my own Boutique. More over the dresses, I feel that it is the comfort that we feel in an outfit that matters the most and that's exactly what I felt when I started doing Geet. Initially the costume was uncomfortable for me, but today I am accustomed. I am completely a modern outfit person because of which I can hardly relate myself to the apparel on television even after being in it. Television demands more loud and heavy attires which are diametrically opposite to my taste of garments. My favorite color is white, completely obsessed with it, and I love to see myself dressed in a white dress accompanying bright shoes and bags or in a jump suit.

Rather than the mix and match, I feel that people should go for solid colors or a mix depending on the colors. Frankly speaking, I never shop from India because most of the times I am on board and I like shopping in Dubai, US or even London at times. But today I hardly get time to shop though.

My favorite designer is Sabyasachi, but since the designer wears are really expensive, I prefer to keep away from it as much as possible. Forever 21 brand clothes are one of my favorites but they have not yet arrived in India, apart from a small outlet in Delhi. But if it starts, I bet we will see people only in them. Among the Indian wears I love the way Vidya Balan dresses herself in Sarees, in spite of that not being my style of wears. The costumes in Fashion and Devil Wears a Prada are really great and they too include in the list of favorites.

Today I am the fashion consultant of my cousin's two year old kid and nowadays I am one for most of the kids in my family. I do have a hand in shopping for weddings and other ceremonies of my friends and family.

Ye Parindey kick-starts tonight on Channel [V]..

Ye Parindey – "Impossible ki Maa ki Aakh", the half hour bi-weekly show produced by Red Chillies Idiot Box launches tonight on Channel [V], 21st January 2011 at the 7.30 PM slot.

The show is first of its kind on Indian Television as it takes us through the life of kids in a remand home. The characters, look and feel of the show has been kept very realistic and has been shot in a real remand home in Matunga, Mumbai. Having survived the streets of Mumbai, these bunch of kids are not the kinds who want sympathy or pity for their state, rather they are survivors who don't believe in the word Impossible.. Their mantra is - IMPSOSSIBLE Ki MAA KI AAKH! It is the story of their life, their dreams, their fight to get freedom..

The story opens with a 17 year old boy Jackie Firangi, played by Siddharth Shivpuri a small time gangster who gets falsely implicated for murder. Jackie's only offence was to fall in love with the beautiful Rukhsaar (Mamta Suri) who is the daughter of the Don for whom Jackie worked for.

The world of the Remand Home is opened to the audience wherein along with Jackie, there are other inmates – Salim (Ankur Panchal), Chota Packet (Moses Kandara), Kabir, Sundar (Rohan Mirpuri), Rustam (Rheyan Johri). The remand home is dominated by the aggressive and cruel jailor Vaghmare, played by noted actor Vaqar Shaikh.

Jackie's efforts to escape from the remand home are in vain and his animosity with Salim is on a rise when the show will see a new character's entry. Maya (Priyanka Bose) will be the new music teacher who is brought in by the administration despite Waghmare's resistance.

Maya takes it upon herself to teach these kids and bring about some positive changes in them through Music. The show will then trace her journey wherein she transforms the kids, and they use the ultimate weapon of music to realize their ultimate dream of freedom..

Mohit Malik and Aditi have an eventful outing..

Mohit Malik and Aditi Shirwaiker Malik recently had an eventful time on the occasion of Mohit's birthday!! Moving away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, the duo headed for a darshan of Sai Baba. A good darshan they did get, but also had a scary incident while driving back to Nasik.

Says Mohit, "We had planned for a darshan of Sai Baba as it was my Birthday. We had a very good darshan, and we were happy as it was our first one after marriage. I was very particular of not taking the VIP route for darshan; we mingled with the crowd and went on to get Baba's blessings".

Mohit and Aditi were driving towards Nasik early in the morning when the unexpected happened, and their car almost barged with a truck coming from the opposite side.

Talking about the shocking moment, Mohit told us, "We left Mumbai in the evening and had our Darshan at about 4 in the morning. And we immediately left for Nasik and were completely off sleep for the whole night. As I was driving the car, I actually dozed off for a second and that is when our car was about to collide with a truck. It was only when the head light of the truck pierced into my eye that I took a quick action and avoided the collision. Guess Baba saved us on the day".

Putting behind the shocker of a moment, Mohit and Aditi reached Nasik where they indeed had a time of their life!!

"Aditi had booked a room at a lake-side hotel in Nasik. She gave me a marvelous surprise by hosting an outdoor candle light dinner near the lake side. It was a beautiful moment and we really had a great time", avers Mohit.

On the work front, Mohit chides, "After marriage we have had some good private time, and we both are now looking for good roles and want to get back to the business side of things".

Well, we wonder whether the couple will ever be able to forget this eventful outing of theirs!!

'I feel more relaxed playing Abhay' - Vishal Karwal

Vishal Karwal has already found place in millions of hearts portraying himself as Vinay in COLORS' Bhagyavidhaata. Now he is capturing another million in his new and fresh romantic hero outlook as Abhay in Rishton Se Badi Pratha.Tellybuzz had a chat with this handsome hunk on his new show, the concept and his experiences.

Excerpts!!!

Many stories have been told about family rivalry and the love stories related to that; so what new is there to offer in Pratha?
This show is specifically on honour killing and most of the families practice this if you go up in North. There is a lot of gender inequality over there where the girls are not allowed to step out of the house for work or even to study. So, people who love each other and dream of getting married, never happen to unite and they undergo a lot of torture that end up in murder too for the repute of the family. So the whole story is about that and the issue is raised through the show. We are trying to portray a picture where boys are allowed to live their life on their terms, girls are not.

You were not the first choice for the show and the promos had also been aired with the other actor; so were you apprehensive about taking up a character like this?
I was already doing Bhagyavidhata when the team started casting for Pratha and I took off from Bhagyavdhata because of some personal reasons. That's when the channel offered Pratha and for me it is one of the biggest achievements that the channel wanted me to do another show.

You had got a lot many offers from other shows, how did COLORS convince you to take up the show?
Yeah there were a lot many offers that were coming my way but they were all the usual Saas Bahu dramas which I was not interested in being a part of. I wanted to do something that had an input to give to the people and I waited for the right show. At the same time I had waited for a show that is supposed to come on Colors but that never happened. And that's when Pratha was offered to me and I thought this is another show that I can prove myself.

What attracted you to do Rishton Se Badi Pratha?
Obviously the first thing that attracted me was the fact that it is another show that is coming up with Colors TV and most of the shows on Colors have been really good so far. I was already doing a show for the channel and I thought why to go anywhere else. The channel is like a second home for me and I know everyone from the channel and the people around.

How is the experience of acting with senior actors in your show?
It has been great till now with all the senior actors. I remember when I started off with Bhagyavidhatha, I never considered myself an actor because I had no experience in theater and acting and all my co-actors went out of their way to help me after which I felt so secured on the sets. And it is the same here in Pratha too and I respect everyone and actors like Zeb Khan and Ranjan are tremendous with whom you can learn, just by looking at them and I always believed that if you want to learn you should always observe, be it in films or in television.

Any memorable experience during the shoot that you can share with us
It happened when we were shooting the promos at India Gate and we packed up around 8:30 in the night and I went for partying after that at 11 pm. But the next day we had to shoot at 7 wherein I had reached after the party at 6:15. The director asked me to put on my makeup and get ready as soon as I arrived and he was explaining the scene to me and it took around 10 to 15 seconds for me to get into the scene and realize what I am supposed to do. But finally the promos came out really well. Also the experience of shooting outside Birla Mandir was great because it was 26/11 and there was high security wherein people are not allowed to take in cameras.

How do you differentiate your character Abhay in Pratha from Vinay in Bhagyavidhata?
Vinay was a person who was not scared of his family and did what he wanted to do in his life, but ended up getting kidnapped and forced to marry Bindiya. Hence it is a story of two people who do not love each other and are forcefully bonded in the relationship of marriage. And the relationship that we portrayed there was different wherein I did not like the girl initially but later fell in love with. But in Pratha, Abhay is already in love with Surbhi and is scared of his family which makes the character completely opposite to Vinay.

What were the challenges when you took up Pratha?
I feel this one is more relieved and Bhagyavidhata more challenging because I had to work on the Bihari dialect in the show which was tough. But Abhay is a 25 year old guy who is very chilled out and I could easily relate myself to with him. I did not have to work on the dialect because he is a guy from Delhi and the language comes natural to me. And also in Pratha I am a very romantic guy and I don't really have to struggle very hard on that aspect too.

How is your experience with Shalini Chandran?
It has been excellent; she is a very sweet girl and looks pretty and very cooperative and understanding.

Your chemistry with Richa Soni has been very much appreciated in Bhagyavidhata, how has been the rapport with her and now with Shalini?
I am very comfortable with Shalini and Richa, I had a very professional relationship where we never used to hangout. But Shalini and I go for partying and watch movies together and we share a very informal relationship. Also at times we correct ourselves.

The time slot of the show is 7:30 so do you think that can affect the TRPs?
I think that primetime slot is gradually changing because if you see the TRPs of Sasural Genda Phool, the TRPs have gone up to 5 and above and that slot is at 7:30. So I think people will watch the show if they have to offer something that is good.

Diamond ring on Archana's ring finger arouses curiosity..

Archana Taide and Pracheen Chauhan have no doubt declared their relationship in the open, but recently a certain section of the media spotted them in a public place where the diamond rings on both Pracheen and Archana's wedding fingers were very much visible!!

With this started the curiosity of whether the two have gone thro' their engagement ritual or not!!

TellyBuzz got in touch with Archana who was amused when the question was put to her. "No, we have not got engaged. In fact, Pracheen gifted me a diamond ring for my birthday which we celebrated on November 7th. In fact, he got the ring for my ring finger only, but it is just a coincidence".

When we asked her about Pracheen sporting a diamond ring, Archana in a cool manner said, "You have to ask him about that".

When we posed the same question to Pracheen he clarified, "I wear three rings on my one hand and this is purely for astrological reasons. If Archana and I wanted to get engaged, we would never do it secretly (smiles)".

About the diamond ring on Archana's ring finger, Pracheen says, "That is my birthday gift for her. She in fact wanted a platinum ring for a long time, but I gave her this diamond ring on her birthday this year. We are certainly not engaged".

Me Home TV, the new channel owned by Manas Group of Companies in Faridabad will soon launch a comedy show titled 'Baap Bole Toh Aap'. The show is most likely to be a weekly and is produced by Smriti Entertainment.

The show will see the like of veteran actor Tiku Talsania and Vishal Kotian coming together.

Our source states, "The show is about the Dadaji in the family played by Tiku Talsania who is a retired post master who migrates from a village to the city. The dadaji tries his level best to reform himself into the urban format while his family tries everything to retain the rural innocence and simplicity in him. The Dadaji has three sons of whom the eldest son is married and has a kid. Vishal Kotian of Shri Adi Manav fame will play the son who is married. Azaan Shah plays Vishal Kotian's little son".

When contacted, Tiku Talsania confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am playing the dada's role in Me Home's Baap Bole Toh Aap. It is the story of a retired person and his family".

Azaan Shah's mother confirmed that her son is part of the show.

The latest we hear is that Abhishek Avasthi, one of the contestants of Sony's Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo and Bhaumik Sampat, the talented guy who came into the limelight with Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj have joined hands to open their own production company.

A source informs, "Abhishek Avasthi and Bhaumik are two good friends and have planned to start with their own Production company. It is named Sky Limit Pictures , and it was launched on 11th of November 2010. They are aiming to produce movies, shows but before they take up something big, they will be starting on a small level like making and producing short films".

We contacted Abhishek Avasthi to know more on the Production house and he confirmed, "My friend Bhaumik Sampat and I have started a production company called Sky Limit. We have already made our first documentary film which we have sent to a film festival."

Talking about the company, he furthers says," Purposely, I was tight-lipped because I was waiting for my first documentary film to be ready."

We all know that Rajeev Khandelwal of Kahiin Toh Hoga fame was to wed Manjiri Kamitkar by the year end that is after Diwali. In fact, Rajeev had himself confirmed to TellyBuzz via a text message earlier that he would be getting married by this year end.

However, the latest is that Rajeev's wedding has been postponed to February 2011. The actor who is basically from Jaipur has opted to get married away from home, and has apparently decided on a Jodhpur wedding.

Our source from the industry tells us, "Rajeev wants a royal and traditional style wedding in Jodhpur. Earlier Rajeev and Manjiri were to tie the knot in December this year, but the wedding has now been pushed to February 2011. The date is not yet finalized though".

How is the feeling after getting out of the Bigg Boss house?
I am feeling relaxed, mentally. Being in the house, one does not know much about the reaction of the outside world. Now that I have got out, I get to know that so much is happening outside. Today people around me ask 'Anda khaoge kya' (smiles).

Why did you choose to be a part of BB4?
Actually the channel was approaching me from the very first season of the show. When Big B hosted the show last year, the channel people had literally put my bags inside the house, but I managed to escape. This time, my name got bounced much earlier and people in the media started talking about me being part of Bigg Boss. That is why I decided to take it up. You can say that my curiosity dragged me inside the house. All I can say now is that 'Main Bura Phasa'.

Did you expect to be eliminated this week?
I never expected that I would get eliminated. When the show started, all were good to each other, but when the main drama of winning the show started, it became hard to sustain with the politics that started between inmates. To tell you frankly, I cannot digest the fact that I got eliminated while Ashmit Patel stay in.

You got close to Ashmit Patel soon after you got nominated along with him. Any reason for this?
Yes, I got close to Ashmit when I got nominated along with him. Till then, I was four hands away from him, as in the first week itself I got to know how abusive and rude he can be. I got close to him now just for sympathy sake; I joined hands with him but nothing was brotherly in that.

What was your feeling when you came to know that Seema was the one who has nominated you, and not Shweta?
I was a bit shocked when I came to know that Seema was the one who actually nominated me. But the love and warmth she has given me all thro' the show is enormous, and I will never forget that. That is the reason why I have already forgiven her for her mistake. No hard feelings as such as she is a good lady.

Now after knowing that it's not Shweta who nominated you, would you like to apologize to her?
No, I won't because I don't like one thing of her as a person. Shweta knows me for the past so many years, so she should have some trust in me. But she failed to keep that trust alive. It happened so that Ashmit went to Shweta and told her that I was saying some wrong things about her and without rechecking with me, she stopped conversing with me. That was not fair on her part as she should have at least cleared the air before trusting Ashmit blindly. I don't want to come face to face with her again. Everyone from the house had verbally abused Shweta, but even after all this she trusted them. I did not like this fact and I don't want to keep any relation with her hence forth.

But you did have a conversation with Ashmit and Veena where you had said that Shweta and Sara will not be in the Top four while you will remain.
As I said earlier, 'Main Bura Phasa'.

Now that you know that Seema has nominated you, what would you like to tell her?
I will say that Seema has made a mistake by nominating me, but still the lady has supported me and has done a lot for me, therefore I won't be angry on her at anytime.

What would you like to comment on Dolly Bindra's comeback that too in a new avatar?
The channel is behind this because the show works only on entertainment. People who cannot provide the much-needed masala to the show have no authority to stay inside the house. People loved to see Ashmit and Veema's romance, so they are still inside the house and same applies for Dolly Bindra too.

When Bigg Boss gave you a choice to select Veena Malik or Dolly Bindra for the nomination of captain, why did you choose Veena Malik as the captain?
I chose Veena Malik because she was till now not authorized to be the captain of the house. I felt it was fair enough to give her a chance as everyone has once been the captain except her.

Who would you keep in touch with, now that you are out of the show?
I would be connected with Seema Parihar, Khali, Rahul Bhatt, Anchal Kumar and Hrishant Goswami.

Do you regret the decision of taking up Bigg Boss 4?
Yes, though initially I was very much excited to be in the house, after some days I felt that I made a wrong decision by being in the show. I could not help it as I was totally trapped.

Yesterday when you were moving out of the house you didn't allow anyone to come outside and leave you till the gate except Seema and Khali, why is that so?
I knew that nobody else was even interested in doing so. I did not want to create another drama with everyone coming out and seeing me off.

One thing you have learned through this game?
I have learned that when there is a conflict between two good friends due to some third person, one friend should at least approach the other friend who is clueless about the matter. You should at least clear the matter instead of blindly accepting and arriving at any harsh decision.

Your future plans..
I will proceed with my pending work and movies and soon the Grand Finale of a reality show on Mahua channel is on its verge to commence. So I will get busy with the same.

Vishal Malhotra to wed on December 6th..

Vishal Malhotra, the host and dost of Sony's Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega is tying the knot with long-time girl friend Rashi Chopra on December 6th. The wedding will take place in Jaipur and will be a quiet affair with family and close friends.

Red Chillies' Chillar Room on [V]; Azaan Shah bags role

Shahrukh Khan's Red Chillies Idiot Box is now coming up with a weekly fiction show on Channel [V], which is tentatively titled 'Chillar Room'.

The show will depict the lives of young kids of all ages who have been confined to a remand room because of the individual crime that they have committed in their lives. The unit has shot for the promos which will go on air soon. The show is expected to launch in January 2011.

Our source states, "Chillar Room will focus on the lives of all the kids, and their individual stories will be shown. The kids in the remand room will be of different ages, starting from a 17-18 year old boy to a kid of 5 years. Azaan Shah who has done various roles on television, his last being Sabki Laadli Bebo will be seen playing the role of the youngest kid in the remand room".

We hear that the story will show the difficulties faced by the kids in the remand room, and will also focus on how different they are from each other. As the story moves, individual stories of the kids will be dealt into, and the reason for which they have been jailed will also come to the fore. It is heard that the families of the kids will also be brought into the picture later.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 4 kick-starts on Sony from December 13th, and the line-up of contestants is already out in the media.

While we all know that Mona Singh has been retained as the host of Jhalak, the second host of the show has not been revealed till now.

There were reports about Bollywood star Shreyas Talpade and Abhijeet Sawant being approached for the co-host's position. We learn that Shreyas was almost finalized, but things did not work out between him and the production house.

The latest is that Sumeet Raghavan who is presently seen in SAB TV's Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo has been roped in as co-host of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

For the uninitiated, Mukti Mohan and Shakti Mohan were earlier approached to host Jhalak. Even talks were on with Rohit Roy, who has hosted the show in the earlier seasons.

However, our source tells us, "Sumeet Raghavan has been finalized as the second host, but the channel and production house are keeping it under wraps".

Hrishant Goswami, the latest evictee of Bigg Boss 4, is surprised to be eliminated from the show because he expected to stay till the end. But at the same time he does not regret the decision for taking up Bigg Boss 4.

How do you feel being back from Bigg Boss?
I was surprised because I expected to be in the show till the end but unfortunately it did not happen. But at the same I am not at all upset because I have stayed this long which indicates that people have liked me.

How was the experience inside the house?
The experience was very challenging because when I took up the show I didn't know what to expect and every emotion of mine was tested and I am happy that I have given the tests properly and have come out safe. I do not regret for taking up the show.

Were there times when you felt that you have had enough and wanted to get out of the house?
Not at all and I actually wanted to stay till the end and I am surprised that I am eliminated.

What do you think of Veena Malik, do you really love her?
I want to make this clear that I do not love Veena Malik and if I had loved her then I would have proposed her, which I evidently didn't do. She is a very nice person and a very good friend of mine and in future, if she doesn't mind, I would definitely like to keep in touch with her because we shared really good times with each other.

What do you feel about Ashmit and Veena's closeness? Did you ever get jealous of that?
I never felt jealous and why would I feel jealous with their closeness. They are two independent adults and they have their own talks to share.

Who were your friends in the house?
Ashmit was the closest of all and my other friends were Khali Ji, Manoj Ji, Seema and Sara.

Viewers often felt that you and Ashmit were flirtatious with your actions, especially when Pamela entered. How do you justify your behavior?
Yes, we both were full on and geared up when she entered the house because I feel she is every boy's fantasy. But at the same time we were not at all disrespectful to her and she too enjoyed the stay and the time she spent in the house.

Do you think that Sameer should not have come back into the house?
Not at all and on the contrary I felt really happy for him that he is back because the way he left the house was not fair. He was not eliminated but was asked to move out where he did not have a choice and I was glad that he was back in the show. As far as my nomination is concerned, it was my personal choice to vote Sameer.

Manoj Tiwari cried a lot when you got eliminated. How close were you to him?
He is a very good friend of mine and will be in touch even after the show. This week even he had nominated me and I think the guilt made him emotional during the time of my exit.

Whose elimination did you feel is not justified at all?
I did not like when Rahul got eliminated because I shared a good bond with him. I have not contacted him so far as I was busy with the interviews, but after all the buzz I would definitely meet him peacefully.

What did you learn after being an inmate of Bigg Boss 4?
The whole stay was a learning experience and I have learnt my weaknesses and strengths from the situations that I went through. Staying with people of different characters also teaches you how to deal with them and also you can learn a lot from them too.

What are your plans after getting back home?
I would continue my modeling and simultaneously I would like to concentrate on my acting career. As a preparation I have already undergone acting classes including dance and I hope to get offers in future.

Who do you think is the biggest player in the house and who do you think should win Bigg Boss 4?
In my opinion the biggest player in the house is Shweta and I would be happy if Seema Ji wins the show.

There is also a buzz that Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone will be entering with Dolly Bindra; what would you like to comment on that?
I am a great fan of Sylvester Stallone and I have read his autobiography too; if he enters I will feel bad for myself because I am no longer in the house and would like to return. Dolly is actually sweet and there were times when we had good times with her and a person cannot be bad always but the situation makes them rough.

I have started getting calls from my fans, who ask me about all the rumors that have surfaced".

On the work front, Rati is taking a break of a month or so during which she wants to get treated for the spondilitis problem that she has been suffering from.

Says she, "There is this doctor in Jodhpur who I believe treats such cases in a jiffy. My dad has taken an appointment for me; the doctor has asked me to come for three days, with two sittings in a day. In fact, I have heard that he cures even paralysis and broken cartilages very quickly. Due to my hectic schedule, I have this persistent problem with my neck, and now I am unable to even move it. Megha Gupta is right now on cloud nine as she is all set to wed the Fame Adlabs owner, Aditya Shroff. Megha who has been seen in shows like Sony TV's Kkusum, Star Plus' Kkavyanjali, Nach Baliye, Imagine's Main Teri Parchhain Hoon, Colors' Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg is getting married to Aditya on December 10th.

As we know, Megha Gupta was earlier dating Director Nissar Parvez. Even before this, she was seen partnering Naman Shaw in Star Plus reality show Nach Baliye.

Our source from the industry tells us that, "Megha was supposed to marry Nissar in December. Meanwhile, Aditya Shroff who was earlier the boy friend of Dabangg heroine Sonakshi Sinha, saw Megha in a party and that is where he got impressed with her. He sent in a proposal to marry Megha; this is how the marriage got finalized. They are slated to marry on December 10th".

TellyBuzz contacted Megha who told us, "Yes, we have decided to tie the knot in December and are very excited for the occasion".

Talking about her marriage preparations Megha goes on, "As everyone knows, marriage preparation is a never ending process which goes on till the date of the wedding, and even after it gets completed. As of now, I am running here and there for the preparations, guest list etc".

"Our wedding is going to be a small event with less number of invitees, otherwise everything is going smooth with the arrangements so far," adds Megha.

The celebrity list for this season's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on Sony is almost final and the show is all set to replace Kaun Banega Crorepati 4. As we know, many big names of the Telly industry were approached for the show, of whom few took it up while many got rejected for some reason or the other.

Neha Marda of Colors TV's Balika Vadhu fame is today upset as she lost a big opportunity to showcase her dancing talent on a platform as big as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

We hear that all was finalized between the actress and the channel when the production house intervened and rejected her.

An insider from the industry tells Telly Buzz, "Neha Marda was almost finalized for doing Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa but at the last moment, the actress did not get to board the bus. The production house was not keen on taking her as she had recently danced on Imagine's Nachle Ve With Saroj & Terence".

We hear that Neha is livid as she does not find the reason given by the production house to be satisfactory.

When contacted, Neha confirmed the news as she says, "Yes, that's true, talks were on and I was about to be part of the show. But I don't know why the production house refused me by giving such a silly reason. At the end of the day, they are the decision makers".

'I never wanted to be in acting profession' - Sara Khan

Sara Khan, the name itself would get you confused as now the telly industry has got two Sara Khan's!!. One of the Sara Khans is inside the COLORS Bigg Boss house but now we are talking about the new face Sara Khan who will now feature in Star One's new show Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein.

TellyBuzz had an introductory talk with Sara Khan where the girl revealed the actual motive to come to this industry. What is the motive? Read further and you will get to know.

Tell something about yourself?
I was born in Mumbai, my schooling was done here but later on I moved on to London for my college and further studies. Actually acting was not something I wanted to do. I am basically a trainer and wanted to continue with my profession. I have come back to India with a goal to achieve and through this medium I think I would achieve my motto in a better way.

Sara can you elaborate on your goal and about you being a trainer?
Actually I train college students, parents, teachers and who ever needs my help. I teach how to control stress, how to be more confident, how to tackle problems, situations, how to make rapport with people and interact well with them. I think India is growing rapidly these days but all these things are not thought in a proper way. So I think people will listen to me more once I get known.

So why did you turn to acting if this is not your profession?
I love myself being clicked, therefore once I thought that before getting old, why don't I get my portfolio done. And once I got my portfolio done, it got circulated and I started receiving calls for audition and eventually I got commercials like Kaya clinic, L.G and done many more ads. But luckily for this role in the show I didn't have to go for any auditions, the channel just approached me, we met in a coffee shop and the things were done further.

If you say that you are basically not an actor, have you taken any acting training for this role?
No, not specially, I have just attended a seminar of Veena Mehta where I enhanced my Hindi. I just concentrated more on my language and not on my acting skills.

So were you prepared to enter acting industry?
No actually, I was not prepared and was training myself but when I started with the shoot, I was so relaxed because the way Sanjay Surkar explains us about the character, acting spontaneously comes out. So it was not a big problem for me to act.

Coming to your onscreen character, tell us about Alka?
Alka is a very ambitious, bright girl, who loves her life and lives it to the fullest. She has a boy friend, enjoys her life always but she sees to it that she keeps her family happy by not crossing any limits. But the show will see how a career oriented girl who has her own dreams for career, has to sacrifice her dreams for family.

Has Sara ever sacrificed her dreams?
Yes, I think my sacrifice would be staying away from family which I am doing right now. So sacrifice goes for me too.

How is your rapport with the co-actors and on the set?
It's been brilliant so far. My both co-actors are very supportive and active. The entire crew is taking care of me as I don't prefer more oily food, and they cook separately for me. All I can say is we are family.

How is Sara similar to Alka?
I would relate myself to Alka around 85 percent.

Finally what is your aim with the show?
As I said that I am a trainer and want to train people over here. Therefore I am writing a book which will be titled as 'Talking to Parents and Talking to Teenagers'. And I think if I get popular, people will listen me in a better way. Hope my character gets liked by all.

Sameer Soni back as Bigg Boss adheres to viewers' response

Bigg Boss, masala and twists, all three go hand in hand and this time too, the show brings up the next development after the dramatic exit of Dolly Bindra and Sameer Soni.

Sameer, in his interview with Tellybuzz, expressed that he wished to re-enter the house if at all Bigg Boss takes back the decision of his exit. Should we say his wish has been fulfilled or justice has been set, from the point of view of the audience? In either way, the big news is that Sameer Soni enters the Bigg Boss house again next week.

Sameer was upset and disturbed with the recent incidents in the house, and had the view that Bigg Boss was not wise in taking the decision of his elimination. But from this twist, it is obvious that Bigg Boss has heard him clear and has made a wise decision for him.

Sameer also said that he felt cheated and abandoned when everyone accused him as the instigator of the fight that broke between Dolly Bindra, Shweta Tiwari, The Great Khali and himself and also felt that whatever that was happening in the house was a test of his character.

After all that had happened, will Sameer have the same attitude towards everyone and will he pass the test of his character this time too and will end up winning the show? That is something to watch out for.

TellyBuzz has already put out in an interview the view points of Sameer Soni, and here is Dolly sharing her thoughts..

From the beginning you were seen abusing and fighting with almost all the inmates, were you sent for that or was it the situation that brought the bad out of you?

I was sent inside the house as an actress and there was nothing else that was intended. The insecurities and the dirty and vulgar games played by the inmates brought the bad out of me.

What really happened amongst the four of you?

After the task was given, the captain arrived late taking time powdering herself and said that she was in the bathroom. Later on she complained why we had not waited for her and Ashmit. Khali intervened and said that we could talk about this matter a little later in the living room. But she kept on aggravating the talk and the argument got worse. The lie pestered me because as a captain she has her own facilities that include a separate bathroom. So why didn't she use that? Later on Sameer stood for her which worsened the fight, but nothing physical happened.

What do you think of Sameer's actions? Do you think that he provoked you?

Yes, he should not have interfered.

You were seen as a dual personality in the house, one time enjoying with people and with the snip of a second you are seen in another mood.

Yes I enjoyed the time I was there but there was a gang mentality in the house that left me alone.

Who are your friends in the house?

Khali was my only friend in the house and the others were friendly on the face but were different behind.

Khali stood up for you when everyone stood against you, what would you like to say about him?

He was the only one who supported me as a friend and he is a very nice and a decent man.

Who do you think in the house is a genuine person?

Khali Ji

Was the whole incident planned?

Not at all, the whole incident was not planned or scripted and whatever happened was due to unbalanced situation.

Even before you entered the house you had personal differences with Shweta, did you enter the house with an intention to take the chance against her?

I went in as an actor to participate in the show and there were no other hidden intentions because I don't have any reason to do that.

Who do you think is the player in the house?

Shweta Tiwari

Were you happy with the decision when Bigg Boss decided to eliminate you?

It was the decision of Bigg Boss to eliminate me and I cannot comment further on that, but I am fine with it.

How was the total experience in the house?

The total experience was mind blowing and I totally enjoyed it.

Why did you take up Bigg Boss?

There was no particular reason why I took up the show. When the offer was put forward I just wanted to experience the life inside the house, and was curious to know what really happens there.

The ministry recently declared Bigg Boss as an adult show and ordered a directive to air it after 11. What does you feel about it? Also Colors has got a stay, so do you like it?

I am not aware of the matter because I was inside the house all this while and when we are inside we have no contact with the outside world.

I have only one nickname, and that is Monu.

The most embarrassing moment:
There have been countless embarrassing moments for me, but I'll just share two very funny instances. Once, when I was all decked up with a grand suit to attend a wedding, and I was exuding elegance but all ended abruptly when someone grabbed the chair that I was about to sit on! The next thing I knew, I was staring at the star studded sky!

The second instance happened when I was in Pune. I was walking through a busy street dressed like a dude with a denim jacket, gelled hair and what not. I was fully aware of the longer-than-usual stares and glances from people around me and I was thoroughly enjoying it. Before I could realize, I banged onto a glass door in front of me and fell on the road. I then got up sheepishly and ran for life! No wonder they say good things don't last forever!!!

I am a very dependent person; I want to get rid of that aspect of mine but at the same time I always believed that I am a learner and a perfectionist and I do not want to change those traits of mine.

Raja Chaudhary does it again; beats up Shraddha..

Raja Chaudhary has always been in the news for his wrong doings!! Recently, he had broken into the house of his ex-wife Shweta Tiwari to see his daughter Palak, and had even slapped Shweta's boy friend, Abhinav Kohli.

The latest accusation that has come Raja's way is that he beat his girl friend Shraddha Sharma very badly, so much so that she is now hospitalized in a Suburb Hospital in Mumbai.

Our source tells us, "Recently, Shraddha had declared in the open that unless and until Raja proves himself to be a worthy man, she would not marry him. Also, the news of Shraddha and Raja breaking up was out, and perhaps Raja did not like it. Raja in a fit of rage pounced onto Shraddha this morning, and hit her black and blue. She is admitted in the hospital as of now".

We tried to call Raja, but he remained unavailable for comment.

TellyBuzz could not stop calling Shraddha's number, and an audibly down Shraddha took our call. She was in no position to talk, and in a feeble voice confirmed that she is presently in the hospital. When we asked her whether Raja beat her, she simply said, "I can't comment".

We called up Manoj Singh, Manager of Shraddha Sharma who confirmed the news saying, "Yes, Raja and Shraddha had some problems and she was beaten up by Raja this morning".

'We will portray both sides of the coin' - Saurabh Tewari

Imagine's recent fiction launches, Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo and Gunahon Ka Devta have given them a boost in ratings. And now the channel is all set for the launch of yet another unique show, Armano Ka Balidan.. Arakshan, which deals with a love story that blossoms amidst the problems of the reservation quota system is produced by RG Media and Entertainment, and Writer Kamal Pandey.

Here is Saurabh Tewari, Programming Head, Imagine in an exclusive conversation with TellyBuzz wherein he takes us thro' the concept of the new show, on the urge to develop a show on contemporary India, the cast chosen, the goals set by Imagine and much more..

The promos of Armano Ka Balidan..Arakshan look promising and different. What is the USP of the show?
We are coming up with something that has never been shown before on Indian television. There are lot many people who have been affected by the reservation policy. This is seen in small towns like Kanpur, Lucknow, Bhopal etc where families give proper education to their children hoping that they would get good jobs in future. However, when they do not get jobs that they deserve, there are repercussions seen. We are not criticizing the policy set up by the Mandal Commission here, but we will portray both sides of the coin.

Armano Ka Balidan Arakshan is basically a love story that has been given the premise and backdrop of the reservation policy. It is the story of a girl Sumedha who has lost her brother in the 1990 Anti-reservation agitation. She is from the upper class, and her entire family due to the tragic death of the boy have a particular take on the reservation policy that prevails. And there is the male lead who is a Dalit and has grown on to become a District Magistrate. On one hand you have the female lead who has lost a family member, while you have the male lead who has benefited from this, and has reached a position of respect in society. The concept in itself gives an opportunity to narrate a different kind of story; the premise, plot and the issue which is relevantly new yet relatable is the USP of our show.

Would you deal with the problems of today related to the reservation quota, or take the story back to the year of 1990?
No, the show represents the contemporary scenario, that is 2010. Yes, we have a back story which happened in the year 1990, but we are not getting into flashbacks. This tragic back story will be a foundation, wherein we will show how an entire generation and family has got affected due to this.

The show got into a legal battle recently with Prakash Jha over the title claim. Will Arakshan go thro a change in title?
See, our show was never called Arakshan. It is titled Armano Ka Balidan.. Arakshan. The case is still with the association, so I cannot comment on the outcome.

Don't you think this kind of concept can get you into more trouble?
We are not trying to make a controversial show. We are attempting to make a contemporary show, and as you know, television and society cannot be separated. We will try our best to be neutral and narrate a good story. If we get into problems, we will tackle it then.

Gunahon Ka Devta and Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo which took off as different concepts have today got into the saas bahu mode. Was this part of strategy?
I would not accept that Baba and Gunahon have gone into saas bahu mode. Baba was always meant to be the story of a girl with stunted growth who gets wedded into a family who consider her as just an ATM machine. But as we know, happiness and security cannot be bought with money. Gunahon is the story of a criminal and the manner in which he falls in love. However, being in love with a criminal is different when compared to life after marrying a criminal. There will always be ups and downs within a show; we have to show plots that are out of the regular flavour so that we provide something which is massy.

So what do you have in plan for Arakshan? Will the show retain its original flavour for long?
Yes, we will be retaining the original flavour for long. As I said before, we have to retain the flavour of entertainment, and provide something massy.

What went about when you were casting for Arakshan?
We had decided not to go for the big names. Our characters are very real, so we needed good actors to portray them. We have taken many actors who have a theatre background. Command over the language was important, hence the emphasis was on good actors. You will not see plastic faces in this show.

You have seasoned actors in Pariva Pranati and Rahoul Lohani, while your male lead is relatively new.
I have earlier worked with Rahoul Lohani in Jabb Love Hua four years back. He is a fantastic actor, and we were looking for such names. As I said, we were not looking for big names, we wanted the actors to fit the bill perfectly. Pariva too is a very good actor and is apt for the role of Sumedha. And for the male lead, we wanted a new face who will come without the baggage of having a particular image. If an actor comes with a positive or negative baggage, it is always tough to break that. We have Aarya Kumar who again fits the role perfectly. The male protagonist has a very important role to play, as he will be the one who will fight against this corruption.

So would you call this show as a female oriented show or a male oriented one?
Both the girl and the boy have an equally important place. We can term it as a family show.

Tell us about the prime cast of the show.
As you know, we have Pariva, Aarya Kumar and Rahoul Lohani. Muni Jha plays an important role. There is Deepraj Rana, Manmohan Tiwari, and they play vital roles.

Imagine has of late brought in writers as Producers. After Raakesh Paswan, it is Kamal Pandey and Jayesh Patil. So what is the strategy behind this?
I am an ex-writer and believe that writers today need to get a bigger platform. Writers who are willing to take up challenges and go that extra mile, those who have that extra punch in them to do more, should be given an opportunity like this. In television, a show is usually conceived by someone, developed by another and executed by another person. For example, this concept is an in-house concept conceived by me and my team. We now have Kamal Pandey coming in to develop it, and in a normal case there will be a producer coming in to execute it. My aim is to close in on the number of people associated with it; there is always an additional vision got when the person who creates the concept executes it.

Arakshan is in the hands of a new production house. How is it working with RG Media and Entertainment and Kamal Pandey?
I have worked earlier with Ravindra Gautam in various shows. We have a great working equation and are excited about the show.

Where are you shooting for your outdoors?
The outdoor shoot is done. We shot at a place Hoshangabad near Bhopal.

What is the immediate goal that you have set for the new fiction line-up on Imagine?
Our idea is to see our fiction shows cross that 2 and 2.5 TVR mark, and once we achieve that, we will aim for higher milestones.

When is Arakshan launching?
Armano Ka Balidan Arakshan launches on 29th November and will take the place of Jyoti at the 8.30 PM slot.

It is Jyoti which is going off air now. Is Bandini the next to go off?
It is too early to comment on this.

Can you tell us something on your next launch, Begaani Zameen?
Same again, it is early to comment.

Rajeev Paul all set to publish his book of poems..

We all know that Rajeev Paul is a talented actor, but did you know that he has achieved a record of sorts by being the first TV actor to publish his own poetry book?

Well, we got in touch with Rajeev himself to spill the beans to Tellybuzz, "Yes, currently I am working on a book, the name of which has been kept under wraps. I will disclose the title of the book only on the launch day. The first edition of my book is ready with me, and will be in the market by this year end."

Talking about the content of the book, Rajeev further proceeds, "My book will consist of short poems which I have written on certain serious thoughts. I can remember one such appreciation I got after I finished my book. I had asked Juhi Chawla to go thro' my work; before she read it, she pulled my leg asking whether I have written nursery rhymes but she had to take back her words once she read it, and appreciated me for the work I have put in".

Ajay Chaudhary enters Zee TV and Film Farm India's Dil Se Diya Vachan as the very lively and fun loving parallel lead, Krushna. He happens to be the younger brother of Govind (Ayub Khan).

Krushna is wedded into a rich family and is respected a lot in society. He enters when Prem (Gaurav Khanna) and Nandini (Vandana Joshi) are arrested and brought to the police station. Krushna's entry sequence happens when he comes to the station, and gets the couple released.

Our source tells us, "In tonight's episode Prem will be shown kidnapping Nandini and taking her to a very beautiful spot, wherein for the first time the couple will be seen having some lovey-dovey moments. Prem who is a complete romantic by heart will be seen showering flowers on Nandini and this is the moment when police catches them and takes them to the station. In the police station, both Prem and Nandini got thro' some torture, and this is when Krushna will come and save them, take them to his palatial house which will further enhance his character. Krushna's wife will not be shown now and her entry will take place later".

Ajay talking about his role to TellyBuzz says, "Yes, I am entering Dil Se Diya Vachan. I am playing a role which is very similar to what I am in real life. I know the Producer Rupali Guha very well; we had worked together in the movie Aamras. I play the role of Krushna who is a lively and positive character".

We hear that Govind hates Krushna for some reason which will unfold later. Even though he is not liked by his brother, Krushna will come across as a very loving guy who will bring in a lot of light moments to the show.

Jagya gets back at his seniors in Balika Vadhu..

'Rahil has explored himself again' - Rahil Azam

There has been always a break in between the shows you did, any particular reason for that?
I have never done daily soap in a typical daily soap format as in the regular way the television functions like an office from 9 to 10; I have never taken it like that. Because unless I don't see any passion in anything, I cannot do it for a long time

Can you tell us something about Gulaal?
Gulaal is an ocean and if you try to get deeper into it, you will want to know it further but will never be able to decipher what it is all about. You can say it is a love story or affection or enmity between two villages and the manner in which it has been portrayed itself is different.

Can you tell us something about your role?
In the show Gulaal I play the character called Vasant, who is the son of Village Sarpanch. The villagers give a lot of love and respect to his father and likewise Vasant is loved and respected too, but has never misused it. He respects elders and loves his villagers and wants to do something for them. He is a person who believes and stands for truth and if he sees something wrong happening in front of him he dares to tell it is wrong on face, even if the person is older than him.

How is it being back in Star Plus?
It is always an honor to work with a prestigious and consistent channel like Star Plus and I think we have got a decent time slot this time of 9:00pm.

What are your expectations from this show?
Every department of Gulaal has slogged out and worked very hard and the gut feeling of everyone including mine is positive for Gulaal. But still there is a large word called "audience" and their reaction is unpredictable.

You are replacing a show that is even now one of the popular shows in Star plus which had a different concept; are you apprehensive about the reaction of the audience?
Again I will not use the term different and also compare, because Gulaal is unique in itself. Whenever my show launches I make statements like 'look forward to this', but this time I don't want to speak for the show because the show speaks for itself.

This time you are working with a team having a lot of senior actors from theater as well as from Bollywood. How is the experience?
It is a very nice experience. Even Television fraternity has amazing actors and I have always felt that television is more challenging because you need to be very consistent and you land up shooting about ten to twelve scenes in a day which usually never happens in a film. I would like to give a very warm welcome to my seniors because the reason they are here is because they have something unique to themselves which makes them different in their own way. And it's nice to share the screen presence with them.

How is the experience acting with Mansi Parekh?
When I had the show Resham Dankh, she had the show called 'India Calling' (Star One) and that's when I got a glimpse of her. All I can tell about Mansi is that if I were to judge the 2011 award for the best actress, I would give it to her and even if she doesn't get it, I would buy it and give it to her. I am very fond of my co actors who have a lot of caliber in them and I look up to them and I think Mansi has done a fantastic job in the show.

You are known to be a very versatile actor and have never repeated roles, why do you do that and can you tell us something about your journey?
That is what my intention is and I have always tried to dismantle from the characters I did and I always believed in it. Hence, after making a mark in Hatim (Hatim), I dismantled that image with Saarthi (Star Plus) wherein I played the character Karan of Mahabharata. That's when I started getting deeper and deeper into the character study. After that Yeh Meri Life Hain (Sony TV) happened, wherein the character was a bit grey shaded and negative. Following that was my all time favourite subject called Resham Dankh (Star One) which didn't fare well because at that point of time it was a very offbeat script which people didn't relate to. Actually it is a subject of today and I wish the show had released today and one fine day if the almighty graces I would love to buy the rights of the show and turn it into a film. After Resham Dankh I did Betiyaan Apni Ya Paraya Dhan (Star One) and it was hardly a week's time when I was playing a sophisticated businessman in Resham Dankh and as a 'Tapori' in Betiyaan at the same time. After Betiyaan I did certain episodics here and there and then Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na (Sony TV) happened wherein I played a woman. I have never played a cop and therefore when I was offered Mr and Mrs Mishra (Sahara One) I could never say no to it and it was more of an English show which was very well shot. But there are so many things that matters in TV for a show to run because it is not a three hour long film that is entirely backing up on the producer and distributor because there are so many heads involved.

So this time can we expect anything new?
Yes. But I would not say the typical television term called 'different' and would rather say that I have explored Rahil Azam yet again.

Out of the characters you did till date, which was similar to Rahil in real life?
In life again I am very versatile. Today you can find me as a very sophisticated or reserved person, but tomorrow you will see me as a kid. My most favorite character is always Aditya Balraj in Resham Dhank.

Which role did you feel as the most challenging one to do?
I don't take anything as a challenge because I have so much confidence in me that I just go by my instinct.

Of the roles that you did till date, is there any role that you regret doing or felt that you should not have done?
I wouldn't say a role but I feel that there was a wrong move and that given a chance I would not have done Saarthi after Hatim. Because Saarthi was an out and out multi starrer subject wherein there were about twenty characters. But I am thankful to the face of Saarthi because it is from there I have started 'method acting'.

Hatim is now a Superhero figure and a grand success. How was the audience reaction?
Frankly speaking, for the first year I never even felt that Hatim was this successful because I was in Baroda for a year and by the time I was back, Hatim was off air. And suddenly after two or three years I could see people shouting Hatim on the roads and that was when I came to know that Hatim was shown back to back in Star network. Even now the audience think that Hatim is still on air.

Any message to the fans?
I think I have disappointed them many a times taking such a long break. But there is always a reason behind it and is going to be justified when they watch Gulaal. It's their same Rahil even today, who has explored himself again.

I am not a sleepy person, so I usually get up at 7:30 in the morning.

There is no routine as such for Sundays but the day I get an off I see to it that I get massaged, shop a lot and relax.

It's a feast for me; I literally hog on the day and come back to my diet the next day.

How many Sundays do you expect in a week?
For me work is equally important, so I would expect 3 days of Sunday in a week.

What's your dream way of spending a Sunday?
I would like to spend my Sunday on a hill top with snowy climate and a cup of hot coffee in my hand.

If not Sunday what would you rename that day of the week?
I would rename the day as Work day because we rarely get Sundays to spend like Sundays.

What's more exciting for you, Sunday or Saturday nights?
Actually I never go out for partying till late, so Saturdays are never exciting for me.

Which other day of the week is equally exciting as a Sunday to you?
I would say Friday because on Fridays we complete our schedule for the week and we have slow schedule as the next telecast is on Monday.

Memorable Sunday you could share?
My childhood Sundays were the most cherishing ones. I remember watching Mowgli, He-Man and all those legendary shows.

The craziest thing you would want to do on the day?
I would Sleep for whole day, after switching off my cell phone

Sid refuses to marry Divya; Viren accepts to marry Nivi

Rajan Shahi's Chand Chupa Badal Mein on Star Plus has been going thro' some major drama of late, but tonight's episode will take it to a new crescendo, which will leave the protagonist Nivedita (Neha Sargam) in dilemma!!

A source close to TellyBuzz informs, "In today's episode Siddharth (Abhishek Tewari) will get to know the truth of Viren (Kinshuk Mahajan) and Nivedita, that they are faking a relationship and that Nivi is still in love with him and not Viren. He will also get to know that Nivi is sacrificing her love so that her sister Divya (Rishma Roshlani) and Sid get happily married. In simple words, she does not want Divya to go thro' a heartbreak".

So how does Sid react on knowing this? It's very obvious!! He simply backs out from marrying Divya. But there's more coming!!

"After knowing the fact, Sid declares before all that he will not marry Divya. In order to save Nivi from facing further humiliation, Viren all of a sudden proclaims before the family that he is in love with Nivedita, and wants to marry her. This leaves Nivi and all others shell-shocked", quips our source.

So now, we come back to the same point - Will Nivedita sacrifice her love and get married to Viren?

If sources are to be believed, the channel and production house might be planning for a dual marriage soon in the show!! We hear that Viren and Nivedita will be forced by the situations prevailing to accept one another!! On the other hand, Sid and Divya might go thro' a lavish wedding.

When contacted, Neha Sargam confirmed the buzz of Siddharth refusing to marry Divya. "I really don't have any idea about whats happening in the track but one thing I can tell you is that Nivedita is totally confused about her love and friendship".

Neha Janpandit to continue in Tere Liye!

Recently a buzz around the town was that Mouni Roy is all set to replace Neha Janpandit for the role of Nupur in Star Plus' Tere Liye. Not only Mouni but also Anjori Alagh (of fame Seeta-Geeta) has been approached for the same.

But our source from the production house says, "Though Neha was having some financial issues earlier, she did enter the show after which all is going smoothly. The buzz is true that these two personalities were approached to essay Nupur but as of now things got sorted again with Neha and she is continuing with us", informs source.

"It was Ekta Kapoor's decision to continue with Neha and not get any new actor in", adds our source.

We contacted Mouni Roy on the same but she refused the truth of being approached as she says, "I am hearing it for the first time; I am not even approached for the same."

While on the other hand Anjori Alagh agreed on the buzz and said, "Yes, I was approached for the role but it got scrapped and there won't be any replacement now."

Neha Janpandit too asserted, "I have no idea about the whole history as even I have heard about the buzz."

who played the role of Alekh with all grace in Rajan Shahi's Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai is happy that his show is wrapping up after getting all the love and affection of the audience. He goes down the memory lane and takes this opportunity to thank the industry and the audience for recognizing him as an actor and appreciating his work.

Here is a heart-to-heart conversation of Angad..

Did you always want to be an actor?
No I was interested in interior designing. After doing one commercial ad, my mother told me that I should participate in Mr. North contest. I won it luckily and then was flooded with modelling offers. It was at this stage that I thought about a career in entertainment industry.

What was so special about your character in Bidaai?
Most of the shows on television are woman centric but I was lucky that I got this character of playing the schizophrenic Alekh. It was a very good opportunity for me to portray this character which had so many shades and has full scope to improvise everyday.

How is it working with Rajan Shahi? What contribution has he made to your career?
I was bit nervous initially to work with Rajanji but later on I realized that he is a nice person to work with. He always boosted my morale by saying that I could do it. He gave us complete freedom; he was and is always there for us. He never restricted us from doing any other project. When Zara Nach Ke Dikha was offered to me I told him about it and he immediately said that I should do it.

Who are your industry friends?
Kinshuk Mahajan and Karan Kundra. We had a blast on the sets of Zara Nachke Dikha. We bonded over Punjabi language and food.

Who were your favourite co-stars in the show and why?
Kinshuk, Sara and Alokji. It was so much fun to be together and shoot with them. We never felt that we are working. All of us used to do lots of masti on the sets and it was a complete informal atmosphere.

Do you idolize anyone?
My mother

If you had not been an actor what profession you would have been into?
Interior designing

Favourite film stars
Salman Khan, I am a huge fan of his. He is very nice person and for Sushmita Sen I do not think I have to give reason that why I like her.

How did you celebrate your Diwali?
I celebrated it in Mumbai; I did not go to my home town, Delhi this year. I had shopped a lot for the festival, and decorated the Mataji. We prepared mithai and had fun.

Your show Bidaai is going off air. How do you feel?
I am emotionally attached to my show Bidaai. I feel bad that it is going off air but I am happy too as people have given me so much of love and affection.

What are the best memories associated with Bidaai?
There are so many memories that I really can't point out one. All scenes which I have done in the past three years are memorable for me. I have never enjoyed so much in my life.

Was it easy or tough playing a mad character in the show? Will you miss Alekh?
Initially it was difficult because I was a newcomer and was shooting with known actors. However eventually I got a hang of it. I think the entire team of Bidaai is lucky to get so much love and affection from their fans. I will miss Alekh very much, as I have grown has an actor due to this character. If I have a son in future I will name him Alekh.( smiles)

Where are you going for holidays post Bidaai?
I will go for a long trip to Paris, London, Singapore and Bangkok

What kind of shows are you looking out for now?
I am bit tensed as in my first show I got to play an outstanding character of schizopherenic Alekh. Now I want to play a spoil brat, or college going boy or a royal Prince.

What are your future plans?
I have always followed the way God has shown me, so in future too I will go in the path he chooses for me. I also believe in working hard and I will keep working hard.

There have been lots of reports written by the media about Tina Dutta's unprofessional behaviour on the sets of COLORS' Uttaran, and that the lady had recently put down her papers before the production house and had left for a tour of USA. There were also speculations that Tina would ultimately be replaced by the channel. However, things seem to have consolidated now, as the actress after getting back from her trip has started shooting for the show.

Our source tells us, "Tina after coming back from USA had a long meeting with the production house and channel, and with the terms and conditions getting settled between them, she resumed her shoot. This is not the first time that the girl has dropped her resignation papers, but she has been lucky again to stay put in the show".

When we called up Tina Dutta, she said, "It's all rumours that have been spread by the media. I do not want to comment on this".

However, a very close friend of Tina did accept that she has managed to get whatever she demanded from the production house, and that is why she has moved on with her shoot and is keeping silent.

Guess this is a sheer example of compromise coming from the channel and production house, in order to keep their baby Uttaran in good health!!

COLORS gears up for Ali Sara wedding..

The D-day has finally arrived for Ali Merchant and Sara Khan to get into the history books of COLORS for being the first couple to get married inside the Bigg Boss house!!
While the channel and production house are gearing up for the big fat wedding, the inmates too are leaving no stone unturned to make this a grand affair.

The channel has prepared a guest list for the wedding and the invitees are expected to gather in Lonavla this evening.

Our source tells us, "Ali's parents will be there to bless the couple, while Sara's parents might not turn up owing to the death of her dadi just the last week. Even Sara is unaware of this sad happening. But there is a possibility of her mom attending the wedding. On the other hand, Ali's parents have extended their full support and believe that their happiness lies in the happiness of their children. Also, they have been referring to the media that in Islam religion, it is not written anywhere that marriage should not happen in a house that has just lost a member".

We hear that there will be a huge guest list of nearly 200 close friends and relatives attending the wedding. Few of the celebrity friends who have been called to be part of the wedding are Jay Bhanushali, Naman Shaw, Abigail, Vishal Singh, Priya Bhatija, Jatin Shah, Krystle D'Souza, Abhinav Kapoor, Rajan Shahi, Parul Chauhan.

A source from the Lonavla house tells us, "The guests will however, not be allowed inside the house as the format of the show does not permit that. Only the parents of the couple will be allowed inside, and that too only to bless the couple. Lavish preparations are being made for the guests outside the house, where a projector has been erected so that they can witness the wedding. After the nikaah, the guests will have a sumptuous dinner served and arrangements have been made for the same".

If sources are to be believed, Ali and Sara have been paid a big booty by the channel to get married in the show. Also, the grapevine says that Ali and Sara have already been declared as man and wife, after they had a secret marriage in Bhopal one year back.

While COLORS gears up for the big wedding, the one person whose absence will be felt is the Host and Dost of the show, the very Salman Khan!!

Gavie Chahal, the guy who played the protagonist in COLORS' Mohe Rang De gets a year older today, but will throw a bash for his near and dear ones only tomorrow, due to his busy schedule!!

The tall and handsome actor is shooting for a Mahindra and Mahindra commercial today, and this has postponed his plans for a day.

Talking about his birthday plan, Gavie says, "There are no birthday plans for today due to my busy schedule. I am shooting an ad today, which will last till today evening. I have planned a visit to the Gurudwara after this".

"Tomorrow I have to rush to Punjab for my upcoming film promotion. I have arranged a party tomorrow at Punjab in one of the five star hotels over there, "adds Chahal.

Chahal will be seen in one of the upcoming Punjabi movies called Tere Isqh Nachaya which is considered to be one of the high budgeted movies, shot with latest technology and very expensive lens which has amazing picture quality. The movie releases on November 26th.

Talking about his movie, Chahal says, "I am portraying the character named Gurjot in the film, who is a very fun loving guy and during his final years of college he falls in love with his close friend and this is how the whole story proceeds."

Gavie goes on, "After the promotion of this movie, I have yet another project in hand, and will be part of a Ramsay movie which is going to be a thriller".

Karan Kundra unwell, but shoots non-stop..

Karan Kundra had recently mentioned in an interview to TellyBuzz that he hates to stay at home, and loves the atmosphere of shoots a lot!! Well, the guy really means what he says, as the recent report coming from the sets of Imagine's Kitani Mohabbat Hai is that the workaholic Karan is trying his best at work in spite of suffering from a viral infection!!

An eye witness close to Karan informs, "Karan was needed for almost all the scenes which were scheduled as there was a sequence which focuses on Arjun's upbringing since childhood and along with that the sequence of the upcoming mask party of Arjun-Arohi (Kritika Kamra) was also to be shot. Eventually, Karan had to shoot continuously for 33 hours in spite of being unwell."

We too hear that Karan has been unwell, and has been taking pain killers and injections to continue with his shoot. He was seen shivering on the set due to fever, and was given a break finally, but that came only after he did manage to shoot continuously for 33 hours.

When contacted, Karan told us, "Yes, I am not feeling well for the past few days but as the show must go on, I have to shoot and that too, for long hours."

Sushant Singh and Pankaj Tripathi in Gulaal..

TellyBuzz was the first to report about Sphere Origin's upcoming show Gulaal on Star Plus. Though the concept of the show is not clear yet but as the promos pose, the story is all about two rival villages and how the female protagonist fights for a cause, and that is too to stop the flow of the contaminated water into their village.

We already know that Rahil Azam and Mansi Parekh play the leads in the show. Known faces Aditi Tailang, Vineet Kumar, Manoj Joshi will be playing vital roles. As reported earlier, the show boasts of mant noted theater personalities playing important cameos.

The latest is that Sushant Singh who has done many Bollywood movies like The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Paathshala, Dum, Josh and many more will also be seen essaying a very prominent role in the show.

As per the buzz, Pankaj Tripathi who essayed the role of Naved Ahmed Ansari in the Yash Raj Films' show Powder on Sony TV will also be a part of the show.

Sushant Singh on contacted, refuted the buzz saying, "Right now I am at Bangkok and I am not at all willing to comment on the same."

However, our close source informs us that Sushant and Pankaj are part of Gulaal.

Gulaal is all set to replace the popular show of Rajan Shahi, Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai at the 9 PM slot from 15th of this month.
